Read Psalms 73. The writer complains to God about how unfair it is for the wicked to prosper while the righteous suffer. He goes into the Sanctuary (Temple) and God reveals to him what the end will be for the wicked...they are on the slippery slide to hell.

They buy the medical industry to make us weak and dependent on their drugs instead of addressing root cause (lipid hypothesis and many others).

If humans have free will, then those who live by biblical principles will reject certain opportunities for wealth and power. Others living by a different set of principles have more paths to earthly wealth and power.

Another way of looking at it is that Jesus teaches that his followers should put the needs of others before their own needs. That makes it hard to achieve wealth and power by worldly standards.
