I would just like to say that I have my own LTC on the way. I'm not even mad. ? ????
There's the benefit of state reciprocity.
Yup, got family in Indiana and I very much intend on carrying while I'm up there.
It’s the thought that counts!!!
Same here. Got mine one year ago, and it's still valid for 4 more years.
ACTUALLY, the bill now goes back to the Texas House WITH the added amendments placed in it by the Senate for a final approval. THEN, once the House approves the amendments, it will go to Abbott's desk where he has promised to sign it into law.
What are those amendments?
Mainly stuff like a minimum 5 years for felons caught with guns, and stuff like that which increase penalties for illegal possession. I've not yet seen the amended version but it should be public today.
Anyone have the specifics of this law? Can you open carry only or open carry and conceal carry without a license?
To me Constitutional carry implies no restrictions, zero, nada, zilch.
You still need paperwork so it doesn’t mean anything
No you won't. You will only have to be 21 or older, and have no felonies,no domestic abuse charges, not be dishonorably discharged from the service, or no diagnosed mental health issues.
Sounds like what we have here in KY. Notice the BLM/Teefa types really haven't gone out past lib stronghold Louisville. They dumb but they're not quite THAT dumb.
I kind of wondered if it was just some feel good political bullshit.
It sure is! Move to AZ!!!! It’s apparently blue but I know the people and it for sure is not blue
How in the tee total fuck did my home state of KY get constitutional carry before TX? Anyway, congrats! (Granted we didn't get ours till 2019 but still...)
This to me is great proof that trump still has a massive influence on tge states that will listen. I remember him talking about constitutional carry. Saying somethjng along the lines of "If they get a constitutional carry bill across my desk Ill sign it"
SHOCKED that TX wasn't the very first state to pass this.
I guess it pays to be lazy sometimes. Now I won’t have to go to the sheriffs office to finish up the paperwork. Boom!
I was getting ready to apply to carry. Yeah. Win for Texas
LTC is still good to have in my eyes because I've got family in Indiana and I wanna carry when I'm there.
Indiana had the same bill in the works but it was shot down
A step in the right direction, but needs to apply to long arms as well.
Dang this is AWESOME ??
Seriously we moved to Texas from Arizona and realized Texas is the land of lock downs and Arizona is truly the Wild West! Can’t wait to move back...
Can thank our RINO gov Abbott for them lockdowns. Glad they're gone. AZ was stolen and I know y'all are a red state but fuck man, both our states are getting infected by California faggots.
AZ is the Wild West, no question... TX is a blue state... coming from an AZ native that moved to TX... the grass is NOT greener!!!!!!!
Nah Tx ain't blue, my guy.
Houston is!!!
Houston ain’t Texas.
So is Phoenix.
Pretty much every major city is blue. That’s where the corruption is. And every where outside of the cities are red in all states. It’s urban vs rural.
I’m not your guy, BRO! Texas is fos. I’ve had nothing but problems living here... AZ is the true Wild West... New Mexico kicks Texas ass and New Mexico sucks!!!!
Lmao NM can suck my cock.
I bet you would LOVE that
Don't let the door hit you where the Good Lord split you, Cupcake! Sounds like you brought your own troubles with you. Regardless, if you don't love it, leave it!
Idk what his problem was. He was the only person on here I've had a not so positive interaction with.
Some folks are not happy unless they are unhappy. Don't let them steal your energy Fren!
