Biden’s Stimulus Checks “Wreck Labor Pool” As People Get Paid To Stay Home
There are new concerns that President Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus package is already harming the labor market recovery.
While job openings and postings are increasing, there is an issue with the number of applications as labor participation currently stands at 61.4%, with an unemployment rate of 6.2%. People are not applying for jobs as they should be as they collect stimulus checks and enjoy a work-free lifestyle, all on the backs of taxpayers. There are many jobs available in manufacturing, trade and transportation, logistics, and the professional sector. But employers have difficulty sourcing workers.
In a letter sent to the White House Friday, WSJ explains Democrats on Capitol Hill are pushing for the Biden administration to make the jobless benefits permanent, the onset to universal basic income.
Universal Basic Income is part the The New World Order.
Which is why Florida is going back to pre COVID norms re: unemployment check requirements. Namely, they have to log how many applications and interviews they complete. And they can't pass up any interviews, either, if they want to continue getting unemployment.
That's pretty arrogant to say that they're staying home because they're lazy.
If you've done one job and you've studied hard to get that job, you don't want to be doing warehouse shit. You want your actual job back. You don't want to "settle" for some shit, low paying job when you've been doing something specific. That's the problem we face all over the world. It's all fine and dandy until it happens to you.
I think all the companies requiring masks aren’t doing themselves any favors either. If my options were living in moms basement being able to breath or masking up 8-12 hours a day, moms basement sounds pretty good.
Even the post office can't hire. First class mail has become third world in reliability.
There is another issue in that with all the yo-yoing of the last year of shut down/open up, if you take a job depending on the industry, will you be laid off again at the government 's whim? Then do you reapply for unemployment all over again?
Those who love government checks/payouts, keep this in mind. The government pays you so that when they have you hooked, you rely on the government for everything: food/EBT, phones, housing, internet, Education, utilities, etc. you either vote as they say, take your “vaccines”, think as they tell you or you lose ALL benefits. Do not let the government control you or become dependent on the government for everything.
Well if those employers want to get people to come work for them maybe they need to figure out a way to offer better hours and better pay. As far as I can tell all the employers in my area who are complaining about how they can't find workers are all talking about how they want mandatory 12-hour shifts and they want you to be open / on call on the weekends and they're paying the same amount they were offering 3 years ago. They want you to drive beat up equipment with fucked up brakes and no AC in the Arizona heat. They want to yell at you, they want to fuck with your paycheck and find reasons to get out of paying you for the hours you worked, they want to treat you like shit and yet they still want a bitch about how nobody wants to work for them. In their mind, it means that everybody is lazy. The truth is that they're just dinosaurs who need to go out of business anyway.
Maybe it makes me lazy but I'm not trying to spend my entire life doing nothing but eating sleeping and working. That seems a little bit too close to slavery for me.
