Potential Impacts: Area of impact primarily poleward of 50 degrees Geomagnetic Latitude.
Induced Currents - Power system voltage irregularities possible, false alarms may be triggered on some protection devices.
Spacecraft - Systems may experience surface charging; increased drag on low Earth-orbit satellites and orientation problems may occur.
Navigation - Intermittent satellite navigation (GPS) problems, including loss-of-lock and increased range error may occur.
Radio - HF (high frequency) radio may be intermittent.
Aurora - Aurora may be seen as low as Pennsylvania to Iowa to Oregon.

Mild geomagnetic storms (up to 5 on the scale) are not uncommon. But strong storms like this don’t happen often. There was a big one in 2017 (9 on the KP scale) that took out the power grid in parts of Canada. The strongest on record was the Carrington event in 1859, which burned up telegraph lines and caused auroras all over the world. If a storm that bad hit today we’d be set back to 18th century living. Everything with wires would be fried.
The alarming thing about this strong storm is it was caused by a relatively small CME. That suggests Earth’s magnetic field has weakened even more than estimated.
It’s definitely one of those topics that freaks you out the more you learn. Faraday cages could protect to a degree, but yeah even things that are powered off would be fried If unshielded. An extreme solar storm dumps so much ionized energy into the atmosphere that anything conductive (wires) will melt.
If you need a reason to get even more anxious, look up the cyclical solar micronova theories. IMO this is why the cabal’s underground bunkers were built.
Conductive wires would melt, melt, give off sparks and catch fire. The phone in your pocket, power pylons PC's and substations, everything will burn.
There might be an immediate global firestorm so bad that the atmosphere would catch fire.

It says we will jump about like spring lambs for joy at this rebirth, we will trample on the bones and ashes of our enemies and grind them into dust while singing praises.
