Disagree somewhat. Climate change stuff is complete BS but I certainly can get behind the idea of not poisoning the atmosphere we breathe. That’s an actual, tangible, measurable thing with health consequences.

Cars of today are not ''dirtying'' your air and are even far to be the greatest source of that dreaded CO2. They want to remove your gasoline car and shove down your throat that electric car, so you lose freedom of movement and are dependent on the electrical grid to move around.

Look at the dire consequences of China's runaway unregulated environmental disasters and you can see that things would indeed head that way if left alone. Doesn't help that most of our programs such as recycling end up seeing a majority of output sent to China or other countries where the ability or effort to deal with environmental fallout is very low to nonexistent.
The solution was and is nuclear. We are stuck with dilapidated old reactors in many places. We can build newer more modern reactors. Unless it's true the Navy is sitting on zero point energy or cold fusion in which case we are going inter galactic.
The problem also exists in the way we source materials for our livestyles. Mining is a huge environmental risk if not mitigated and regulated properly. You get tons of runoff that can poison the surrounding land. There are places in China that exist completely out of the creation of toxic byproducts. It's important to consider all of these things. That's why I get on anyone pushing for electric cars because until we come up with a better lithium alternative, the act of mining lithium is heavily environmentally-UNfriendly. In some regions of South America, nearby towns and villages have had their water sources completely obliterated due to nearby lithium mining activity.

I also called out his hypocrisy when he got the vaccine because he's a strict vegan. He's a vegan because they apparently torture animals to death in order to provide meat for us. I told him "You realize that they tortured animals to death during the vaccine trials in order to test it right? So you might as well go eat a hamburger for lunch now."
