I also got booted from ACE---for refusing to mask up.
The funny part is I had already finished shopping and was in line to pay before they booted me. Stood at the door while they rang me up. Sent the clerk back to get one more item I needed. Instant personal shopper!
I went to dentist this morning. The receptionist came out with a box of mask and said that I needed to have a mask on. I told her no thanks, I don't wear mask. She went back behind her counter and sat back down.
Our local rural ACE has not required masks for the last 6 months - and never really enforced them for about a year. Signs are still up, but employees have their masks down off their faces - and no one says squat when you walk in without one. Only time they wear them is when a customer comes in with one and they are helping them personally or when checking them out.
Not 100%, but close enough that we'll continue to patronize them.

Then I said thanks but I will NEVER be back.
Shouldnt have given them your $$$ though
You are right but unfortunately they had the odd size filters I needed and could not find at Lowes.
But not again.
Hell of a business plan, kicking out paying customers for the lack of a face diaper... I wonder how many franchises will go broke for bein woke???
All of them, I hope.

Hummmmm... well... I WAS going to buy a grill from them - not now! Thanks for the heads-up fren! God Bless!
Not all of them are ran by liberal morons. It's franchise related.
Ive seen comments about other locations being much more relaxed, so its def not all stores. Just the one by me in TX.
Home depot never enforced except in the very early months and they are cheaper than ACE
