I've known this for years! This movie was based on a book written by none other than Ian Fleming! Yes, the same guy who gave us all those James Bond novels and movies! Link; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Fleming
I have always always always seen the Vulgarian royalty as the child hating deep state! Even as a child! The premise of going after a sweet quirky homeschool family that thinks outside the box is so based. ?
I was talking about the Disney cartoon movie. Think that came out in the 40s. Even Pinocchio dad. Think of his name. Gepetto sounds real close to something else.
I remember watching this movie as a kid, and I recently did so again (44 now).
I've always felt out of touch with the world and I remember how much I loved this movie as it showed both evil and good. This movie made me realise there were bad people from a very young age.
Good link, not a Disney fan and was this unfamiliar with this film's content. Definitely something weird going on here.
Things I noticed:
The mirrored doors behind the woman.
The chess board floor.
The stags heads (sacrifice).
The strange feast with bizarrely colored foods (purple!).
Some kind of triangular pedestal with what appears to be a sunflower design, alone in the middle of the dining room.
That's a lot of occult / mkultra stuff for a 3 minute scene. Sure better eyes could find more.

The man that played Goldfinger was the Baron in CCBB, how's that for a tie in?

And, didn't the Vulgarian royalty remind you of the "Hunger Games"?
I watched this movie recently with my kid because I had fond memories. Watching as an adult I was like "WTF".
I turned that shit off. Walt Disney was on some strange shit that year.
One of the movies I liked when I was a kid. Now I'm re-thinking a lot of things from my childhood.
You'll seen Pinocchio? There is even an island they send them too in that one.

As a child, I had nightmares for years about that movie. It really creeped me out!

Zomg I forgot Benny Hill was in that. Genius.
