I'm an atheist, and I have absolutely zero interest in converting anyone to atheism. The same goes for christians, they should quit trying to convert people, and let them be free to be who they want(without harm to others). Freedom of choice for all.
Many atheists are worse than the most extreme religious zealots: they claim to definitively know it all and have nothing left to learn about the mysteries of reality the unexplored universe. They effectively worship themselves as being all knowing and infallible... whereas most Christians admit that their belief is based on faith.
Worse than the saracens?
Well, don't come to Australia then, because the majority are non believers. Only 7% of us go to church, and yet we have a low crime rate and a better standard of living per capita than the US. We non believers must be doing something right, how could that possibly be, without your god helping us out.
It's because the Australian culture is based on traditional Christian values rather than moral relativism which leads to Drag Queen Story Time.
I don't mean to be confrontational, however Australia is standing on the shoulders of the gains from over 2000 years of Christian teachings which raised the white race to reshape every nation on Earth.
This is why globalists use degeneracy as a weapon against Christian nations: because they know that Jesus makes us strong.
It's not a coincidence that Christians have reshaped the world with their gifts of freedom, science, art, philosophy and spirituality.
Consider our Constitution: the second greatest document created in human history and inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ to respect our God given rights.
Im christian. I do not go to Church.
Keep importing the Chinese. Good luck.
You have a Chinese President.
And you are very quickly losing your freedoms there.
I couldn't be more free. My life is not restrained by the laws of a mythical being.
Sorry dude, but God sent us to spread the good news.
I am a former atheist, and I'm not sure what I am now. This resulted from being unable to effectively find 'the first cause' of anything. But like you, I never tried to convert anyone...basically because I don't know shit, and I'm not afraid to admit it.
Live life happily as best you can because it's the only one you have. That's my mantra in life, be kind to others and make the best with what you've got. Don't sell yourself short, you know more than you think you do, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
I have no desire to "convert" you. I just speak the Truth no matter who I am speaking to. I cannot force anyone to have faith or believe and I wouldn't want to.
I think Christian's should use new tactics. Trying to preach to someone who believes there is no God and has obviously heard about Jesus will do nothing. Instead, they should be a great friend to someone like yourself with no pressure or expectation. If they truly walk with God, it will be evident in their life and you will want to know how to get the fulfillment they've got.
Agreed. I didn't mean the gospel shouldn't be preached, just that most people in the US have at least heard of Jesus and made a decision one way or another. You can see someone's eyes glaze over if you start preaching at them. I'm saying we need to shine and make them wonder what we've got, then we share the gospel in an atmosphere where it can be recieved. :)
I'm currently in the process of leading my neighbor to the lord. He hates the idea of Jesus. We are good friends and he sees similar situations in our lives, but how differently they go for each of us. I keep giving him biblical advice on how to handle situations and he sees how they work in the real world. I didn't push Jesus on him. I loved him like Jesus would and let Jesus pursue him. It's the most positive results I've ever had sharing the gospel with someone, and I know if I had preached at him from the start, we wouldn't even be talking now.
That's exactly what I have always said. Be an example of what Jesus would do. If you live like that, others notice.
