It could be the military dumps that at certain mileage or hour readings. Really simple to put new gray CARC and paint a UN on it and give it away or sell it.
A lot of the equipment in AFG and Iraq was given those forces or are friendlies in the area because its cheaper supposedly than shipping it all back.

Umm, no. APCs can be wheeled, tracked, or half-tracked. APCs have most of their armor on the sides while MRAPs have the addition of armored flooring to protect occupants from mines and IEDs.
MRAPs have a V shaped armored hull to deflect a blast from underneath the vehicle outwards and away from the occupants.
If you want to call every uparmored vehicle troops get in to travel an APC, go ahead. But the correct usage of an APC relates to the M113.
There are uparmored troop carrying vehicles like the MRAP, Stryker, Humvee, etc. But usually APC relates to the M113. Call it whatever you want, I'm just trying to politely point out differences in terms.
