Since you mention it. In the Tom Clancy book Rainbow Six, terrorist release a bioweapon at olympic games. Due to the ability to spread to every country quickly. On top of the, the corporation behind it has a vaccine, but the vaccine is just the weapon but a lot slower to kill its host. They reserved some 'real' vaccines for their elite. I'm starting to think this could be a true story instead of science fiction.
