Q-post #1010 is the only post that mentions "tobacco", I think, and it is right between vaccines and opioids. I am starting to feel like a piece of shit because I can't seem to quit "dip". Do you who partake in "nicotine" products [rooftop] think that this is the community to help us quit?

Didn't even get that far just cut way way back to a 3 a day and already feel like killing someone. My uncle smoked 1.5 packs a day of Newport full flavor for 40 years. He just stopped one day cold turkey with no aids and I couldn't tell a difference in his mood. He said it didn't bother him. I think its like 98% mental.
It is and that's why it's so hard. I've been watching Allan Carr's easy way to stop smoking. It's very good to get the correct mind set - fingers crossed.
That’s the only thing that worked for me! Going on two years you all can do it too. It’s such a better life.
Allen Carr works!! His books/talks work to reverse the brainwashing and mental addiction to smoking. Definitely recommend!
Congrats. Keep it up.
Good luck, its a shitty habit and an expensive one at that. It was easy for me to stop drinking, cigarettes not so much. I hate to admit it but it might be a good thing if they stopped selling menthol because I will not smoke a non menthol. Although I really don't like them taking away freedom of choice.
Our government wants NZ smoke free by 2025. No freedom of choice there :). They have also ramped up the price. Packet of 20 now costs us $23 USD.
Wow I though $9 usd was bad. New York City is probably $20 usd. They were under $7 like 4 months ago.
quit in January. Just keep it up man, it gets better
Thank you sir.
Yeah everytime I try to quit.....people notice
My husband and my brother both struggled with nicotine addiction. It's awful! I'd say heavily rely on prayer. God loves you! He wants you to be happy and free from bondage. Nicotine is a form of bondage. You are not a bad person because you struggle with addiction. I just said a prayer for you. ❤️ WWG1WGA ?
I greatly appreciate the prayer.
Cope mint long cut is my weakness
That is my poison as well
I will start it off. I have smoked or used dip for the past 17 years. I work in the technical (no bullshit) part of industry and everyone I work with smokes or dips. I have two young kids and I am sick of this shit owning my life. I will dip for the last time right now and quit for good, but I know I am going to need support. Who is down?
Get lots of gum/ sunflower seeds and keep some candy with you. The hardest part is breaking the rituals, the car rides, the first one in the morning, after lunch, the last one at night, etc. switch things up and take a different route to work, find something productive and distracting to do when you get the urge. You can always make it 10 more minutes or an hour without. Focus on short term goals. Worry about what’s on the other side of that bridge when you get to it. It’s going to be a rough few weeks. Take whatever money you would have spent on it and stash it away every time you would have bought a pack or a can and set a 2 week or one month goal and then blow all that money on one thing you’ve wanted for a long time, but couldn’t justify spending the money on. Short term goals. 10 minutes, 1 hour, one day at a time. It will become easier, I promise. Change up routines , distract yourself, and reward your success.
Awesome advice. I am in it to win it this time. I appreciate the comment. Godspeed.
Another thing is cravings only last a few minutes at a time. Say a prayer, listen to a song and the craving is gone before your done. I love smoking and miss it but it’s worth the fresh air and money savings.
I've been dipping for 18 years. I've quit a few times. Prolly about 6 months was the longest I went. Cope and then Stokers. Love Stokers mint LC! I've been dip free for three weeks now. Stay strong fren!
Thanks. Im going for it.
Just go cold turkey, from my experience if you past the first few days then you are golden. Resist that urge to smoke (lasts about 5 mins each time) for a few times and it becomes easier. You can all do it, you just have to control yourself and gain ownership of your choices.
I believe it's more about the poisoning of tobacco via the cigarrette industry, turning it into a drug, just like they managed to corrupt our food, water and vaccines (Q themselves said that there are safe vaccines with the "not all" in brackets.
Also, fun unrelated thing: The father of modern marketing and public relations (mass political and social engineering) was a guy called Eddie Bernays. He was the man behind the tobacco marketing back in the day, and made industrialized cigarettes a thing, as opposed to the more traditional cigars and cigarillos. You guys should have a check on him.
I included a Q-post, I really just wanted people to: 1. Provide the info to help myself and other quit or 2.Quit with me so we could all support each other.
Anything made by the cabal is to slow us down or kill us, so this VERY much WWG1WGA material. I quit cold turkey June of 65 when the Navy doc told me the least I could expect was emphysema-that I didn't know what it was just scared the crap outta me... I stopped then and there and gave away my packs to guys I didn't like...
Appreciate the comment.
*Yeah, you should quit dip
Thanks
You're welcome, fren!
Good luck with your health
You cannot escape the D.S. poisoning you.
Their poison is literally everywhere; food, water, air, ect. Try and live life free from their poisons, it's next to impossible.
The anti-smoking commercial campaign has the D.S. fear tactics all over it, I'm willing to bet that smoking isn't as bad as they try and make you believe it is.
Nicotine relaxes you, less stressed. Nicotine has also been proven to make you smarter. Both of which, the D.S. doesn't want for you.
The never ending anti-smoking campaign is a relic from the 1990s. They made a massive cash grab suing the hell out of tobacco companies. All of the money the government got (and it was in the hundreds of billions of 1990s dollars) was supposed to go to education and other lies.
The non-stop anti-smoking campaigns are probably due to a small group of well paid people not wanting to lose a very comfortable job. Government never ends a program ... the programs, no matter how much they preach that they're temporary, get a life of their own.
I'd have to think that, at this point, literally 99.9% of the people in this country know smoking is harmful to your health ... why they still need prime time commercials to remind you of that fact is beyond me. Those commercials are not cheap (both buying air time (i.e. gifting media buddies), producing them, etc).
Exactly.
I know it. I have to try though.
I quit with the help of hypnotism 555 weeks ago this Thursday. He said celebrate your milestones so every week I think about my health and financial position. I call each Thurs an SDOT ( special day of treats ) to give myself a little pat on the back. I am trying to give up alcohol next which I don’t do harmfully but know it is DS bullshit to keep us down ( opposite to ascension ) Meat and dairy are also keeping us down, along with most processed ‘food’ from a supermarket. We were meant to eat only fruit. Sounds bizarre but Charlie Freak has all the good info on all this and a whole lot more. I will say a prayer for your success. Good luck fren. ?
I wish you luck! I support your decision to quit. I quit in 2013, it was honestly the best thing I have ever done for my health. I used a month worth of Chantix, I didn't finish the prescription. The first two weeks were the hardest. You will never regret quitting.
I went from 1.5 cans of dip a day......3 x 4mg pouches a day....I am going to win
I appreciate your profound honesty. I commend us on our splendid failure to do the impossible. Today is the last day though. I think we all need to do this.
i have found prayer helps tremendously when dealing with addiction....or anything else.
Can we add caffeine to the list, dont smoke but cant quit the caffeine. Doesn't even do anything for me its just to keep the 10 am headache away.
I don't know, coffee is my lifeblood. In due time, perhaps.
I’m a grizzly wintergreen guy... I’ve quit several times for years, then pick it up. Quitting doesn’t bother me, but I like the head buzz. Maybe I’ll quit for good
The lip burn and buzz only works for so long. I am in it to win it. Let's quit bud.
I’ll quit when my cans gone. Might as well
Lets do it.
Suggest natural nutrition clinic, not a Dr. Guy i go to fixed my stomach/gut and unexpectedly my chronic lumbar pain. He treated my friend for dipping. Uses proper diet and supplements. I swear by this! If u commit it will cure you.
I will start researching it. Thanks.
Zyn. Multiple flavors in 3mg or 6mg. Tobacco Free.
My old boss was talking about that stuff. I think I am going with coffee.
I did Redman for years. Someone told me that quit and went to Nicotine Gum. I got hooked on that gum, and even sleep with a piece of it in my mouth.
I quit the gum about three weeks ago, and started Vaping. If you smoke cigs, you should try the Vap option. I think it's much healthier.
I'm thinking about getting some gum, and taking a break from the Vaping, and maybe quit all of them.
Withing Vaping, I initially got some throw aways, but they only last around 2.5 days @ 18 bucks a shot. So I got one I paid $64.00 for, and bought a bottle of juice. The juice is not much, and is going to last me about a month. And the rechargeable battery part that cost 64, will last about six months, or more.
The vaping commercials are saying vape is bad so it is probably not..
Not the point.
It's almost impossible to find any research about specifically tobacco without cigarettes or Cancer
Well you seemed to be coming at the cessation need from a health angle. Tobacco is not what makes cigarettes so unhealthy, it is the chemicals that the tobacco industry puts into the cigarette.
I met some Swedish scientist once in Mn hotel, and they were experts on this. And they described all this to me. Most of it went over my head, but I believed the point they were making.
I thought there was illegal to grow own tobacco.
Apparently not:
