Dont forget you can use FOIA requests to ask your hospitals and health sectors to release the true data.

You can also request the amount of burials and cremations for each year. You'll see an insignificant difference between 2020 and previous years.
Who do you get that information from?
You contact the hospitals saying you're requesting the info through the FOIA for burials and cremation through (e.g.) 2015-2020 separated by year
So you contact the hospitals directly instead of filling out FOIA forms?
Maybe write out a brief procedure for us here so we can take action.
Well I'm from the UK so the process is probably different, best bet would be to see how it works where you are
I think in the states you’d have to contact individual funeral homes and crematoriums because they handle those
For each U.S. state it is different. FOIA applies to federal agencies only. But each state has some sort of equivalent. Here’s a resource.

Great post, fren!
Excellent idea and valuable information.
I was reading the FOIA info last weekend, because I would like to request the emails of our dictator governor. I am totally new to this but inspired by Judicial Watch. I THINK FOIA only applies to federal information, not State or Local. In our state I believe there is something similar to FOIA for state info, but I'm still researching it. I'm not sure we can request info from private organizations, like a hospital.
It may not be possible from a private co but each state should have the figures and those should be accessible to the public.
Will do. Sorry you had to quit, but also proud of you for standing your ground.
Does this work in the US, too?
I'm unfamiliar with the process but I know you guys have an FOIA. Do some digging and it mighy help when contacting the hospitals and whatever, it will also probably help when making these requests to say you're an independent journalist. A quick search tells me you guys dont need any sort of journalistic license over there.
Just found out that "CWPT provides mental health, learning disability, autism and community services across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. If a patient in our care became severely unwell after testing positive for COVID, they would be transferred to one of our local Acute hospitals to access expert medical treatment."
