Position: Role Player/Actor Location: Fort Jackson, SC Dates: June 8-23 SUMMARY: A Role Player/Actor (RPA) simulates the role of a as Civilians on the Battlefield (COBs) and Opposing Forces (OPFOR) in various roles (local population, government officials, law enforcement, terrorists, militia, etc.) at the Training Center located at Fort Jackson. The training is enhanced by the RPAs who participate in these exercises. RPAs are essential in making training as realistic as possible, and to prepare our troops for real time disasters. Role Players are able to support the mission requirements to create simulated conditions in which to validate Soldiers' ability to apply material learned in realistic scenarios. This is actually common. Not vouching for the company nor that its not ff prep under guise of military. But military often has civilians for these training purposes.
Yep. Very common. There is a full on realistic training facility that was designed and built by electric light and magic out of hollywood. They hire locals all the time to play the bad guy. Its pretty cool.
