My husband use to work at a Drs office. They would get free lunch to hear about a new med. To think doctors are unbias is so naive! I dont trust them! I take care of myself. No check ups for us unless prompted by an issue.
True, and it's not just that they have a bias towards selling drugs. It's that they don't research ANYTHING for themselves, and they just take the drug rep's word for it.
He was nearly run out of practicing medicine for suggesting that peptic ulcers were curable.
You want to know why drug companies and doctors don't cure anything...MONEY! Think of all the money they get from repeated prescriptions and kickbacks they receive from insurance companies.
"Gifts from pharmaceutical companies are associated with more prescriptions per patient, more costly prescriptions, and a higher proportion of branded prescriptions with variation across specialties. Gifts of any size had an effect and larger gifts elicited a larger impact on prescribing behaviors."
I was told it was the insurance companies that made docs treat symptoms instead of curing patients. Thats why someone needing surgery has to clear it with their insurance ahead of time. Also docs order extra tests just because they need proof prior.
As per Pharma, they catch docs even before they are docs -- medical students. Certain companies buy them books. when there is a conference 1 company credits their transportation, another the registration, etc. Drug reps often offer docs and spouses concert tickets, take them to the best restaurants. Anything then go in for the kill: Kickbacks for Rx their products.
Actually, the Rockefellers took over the medical schools in America in the early 1900s and big Pharma. Medicine used to be holistic and more natural. The Rockefellers changed it to treating disease with a pill. They made the pills and sold the pills, making them richer.
Anyone have the original image? Looks like this was taken with a cell phone from another screen. There's a thing called screen capture, you can do it with almost every device and email the image to yourself. This takes maybe less than a minute to do. it's better internet etiquette but no one seems to care..
First, the guys not young and very doubtful he’s practiced in a rural area. And I’m sure many a kickback have been tossed around. However, I’ve seen that mostly in the area of Hospital Admn and various work contracts. And so it’s easy to blame every doctor, but they’re not all Faucis and not all have the God Complex. You guys want to know what dictates what Rx Meds you take? Your wallet and your medical insurance. Many Medicaid patients are able to get high $ Rx drugs at no cost; while, for ex., BCBS beneficiaries are denied coverage for same drug. And there is not enough time left in this day to describe the Medicare Part D Rx Drug RACKET! Their Rx meds co-pay can cost more than the uninsured’s cash pay! So, in short it is usually based on what your insurance covers or you can afford. At least here in Small Town, USA.
Really? You think pharma is corrupt but the doctors that are the last gate keeper of their products are 'just fine?'
Why did the majority of them sit silently on their asses while the media bashed Ivermectin and HCQ? While the pharmacies and local elected officials stashed and horded it?
Ivermectin came on the market for animals in '81, humans in '87. HCQ has been prescribed prophylactically for what 60+ years?
Get the F out of here with that stuff. Many people were involved in this scam.
