I understand that argument but that doesn't excuse the degree to which he advocated for it even after office. He didn't have to push it so hard or say things like "EVERYBODY GO GET YOUR SHOT"
Everyone who wanted it was going to get it anyway.
The Dems can’t go back on the safety aspect of things because they covered up the vaccines being ready to ship and we’re maniacal about needing a vaccine for anything to reopen.
It was either vaccinate or stay stuck in lockdown indefinitely.
Trump isn’t a messiah. No one should be blindly following what he or any politician does.
It’s time to stop blaming others for our choices.
Except for places like CA and NY where vaccine passports are being (illegally) implemented, your choice to vaccinate falls on you.
That's like putting soda machines in every classroom, making your mascot a soda can, your principle opening every morning praising soda, and saying "it's still your choice". Of course it's still a choice but you can't neglect the part that POTUS has in nudging people to make that decision. Particularly for people who are on the fence, which there are MILLIONS of.
Voted for Trump twice.
Still not getting the vaccine. Still thinking for myself.
Trump praised HCQ in public far more than he did the vaccines.
But people cling to “that one time at the RNC” where he was surrounded by RINOs and when he called out the pharmaceutical companies for keeping them tied up to influence the election.
You have to be able to see the forest for the trees.
And the people who can’t think critically for themselves, and come to their own conclusion, and realize there’s sometimes a difference between what Trump says and what he actually means, are not important for the future of this great nation. At that point they’re no better than leftists, and we shouldn’t waste time sympathizing for them.
False dichotomy. He didn't have to go on conservative networks and tout it as the greatest thing since sliced bread. He's out of office anyway, and since when has he cared what the media says?
That’s not entirely true.
Mainstream doctors on the news refused to use HCQ/Azithromycin/ivermectin.
Many doctors started speaking out about how they were effective when Trump mentioned them but was silenced. Or they started using them quietly.
AFD use them. Another woman that I can’t remember her name at the moment—who was the former head of one of the major physician associations—frequently mentioned her patients were doing fine on AZM/HCQ.
Drop 4245.
“HOW DO YOU TRAP [INSTALL MEDICAL ADVISORS_SKY_IS_FALLING] POTUS INTO ENDORSEMENT OR FACE WW MEDICAL-SCIENCE-MEDIA FULL ASSAULT?”
He had to do it or none of the other potential solutions to COVID treatment would’ve been allowed.

I mean if those simple words pushed you into getting it, you have bigger issues to worry about.
When your anti-establishment president tells you it's safe and you should trust it, that's enough for a LOT of folks who usually would give pause.
You can't deny that there's a huge chunk of diehard MAGA that worship Trump. Many of them are on this forum.

What do you mean? Still no alternative treatments are allowed.
