If you go to Chapel Hill again, there's a restaurant on Rosemary Street called Mama Dip's that is excellent. Real home cooking by a black family. It's pricey, but good.
There used to be a head shop on Franklin Street called "The Shrunken Head." The front door was a bead curtain. Those were the days of real liberals who only wanted sex, drugs, and rock & roll, and wanted the government to stay out of their business. It has changed a lot.
I’ve been in The Shrunken Head!!! Haven’t been back in about a decade. I spent over a decade in MidEast and enjoy their food, so I’d often eat at Mediterranean Deli? That Anarchist’s Book Store is/was right across the street. Used to go to shows at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro up the road too.
