A 19-year-old woman shot by police Saturday during a Juneteenth celebration parade in Flint has died of her injuries, according to the Michigan State Police.
The woman, from Flint, was shot by a Flint police officer after she allegedly drove up to the officer and fired at him at about 2:14 p.m., police say.
The officer, who was injured, then shot the suspect. The incident took place on Saginaw Street near Leith Street.
Michigan is such a beautiful state, north of Bay City/Saginaw/Midland. Flint, Detroit, Lansing are amazing shitholes that seem to get worse every year....Spent many summers fishing, shooting & canoeing the Northern Lower it was wonderful. So very sad what has been done and continues to be done.
Everytime these people “protest” about incidents like this, they are pulling the narrative from the millions around the world right now who are in dire straits. Africa, Asia, to name a few. They say that just because other issues exist doesn’t mean we can’t spare our attention to this.
Ordinarily, I’d agree, but when a fire is big enough, it will spread if not prioritized. We are not in times of peace. There is only so much resources we can spare.
His family, I can understand. But the rest who have nothing to do with this man are being selfish. Sht like this happens all around the world all the time. Trust me, I’ve been. But there are far scarier things than this that need our attention.
