Wait until they find out about their bibles. I know a lot here at GAW are religious (I was raised Catholic) but literally EVERYTHING we’ve been taught is a lie. Or a twist of the actual truth.
I’ve been “awake” for more than half my life. I had a mentor - who I thought was insane at the time, God rest his soul - he told me about everything we are just now finding out about now back in the 1980s. I was skeptical back then, but he started to wake me up. And what he told me makes accepting the actual reality much easier today.
The written word has been the most manipulated tool that is being used against us for centuries. Once you understand that the Bible (all bibles) have been hijacked, that’s when you will be truly awake.
I have read about some books that were purposely left out of the Bible and discarded in the Middle Ages, but when you go down that road, it’s hard to know what’s true or not.
It’s one of the reasons why I don’t go to church, read the Bible, despite being spiritual by nature, it’s been so heavily distorted, and the knowledge of ancient predisaster civilizations pushing human civilization and existence back by over 100k years...
It’s made me question a lot of things about religion and history. We have been systematically lied to about everything
Yep there are tons of apocrypha and books that were discarded because they didn't align with the goals of the Church or would be a threat to their control/power. The Council of Nicea determined the canon, but even this is being washed over and challenged as being "false" or "imaginary" because it is a threat to the legitimacy of the modern Bible.
The Church was distorted from at least as far back as the First Council of Nicaea, three centuries after Christ. Politically and socially powerful men getting together to filter what was true doctrine from what they didn't like—no possibility for corruption there, nosiree.

and this^ is why I've been so interested in the Q-Source-Sayings Gospel of Jesus.
it's the common material between Matthew and Luke, but not in Mark.
almost like Jesus left us a code to verify HIS words...
AND when you read through the Q-Source, it's very similar to our Q...talks about the rights of children, the corruption of the elite, etc.

several books related to Q-Source on Archive.org
