Hello frens. I just read over our districts reopening plan and they are still entertaining the kungflu agenda, but masks are optional if you sign an opt out form and if someone in the class comes down with it the unmasked automatically get 10 day quarantine. So i guess besides the covid restrictions that i am not happy with, plus them being tracked on their school ipads, what would be more reasons to homeschool? We did it for the last month of this year and I prefer it but husband thinks they need to be in the system in order for us to fight for them and be taken seriously by the school board. I know they are looking forward to going back to school, but my gut is telling me no. I need to convince the husband, please help.

Forget about the Kung flu, what about common core, critical race theory, and all the other commie fagotry?
You don't have to be enrolled in the school in order to be heard. If you're in that district, no matter the enrollment status, you have a voice.
Portray your family as one that is wanting to return to school but not under the guise of Marxism.
Paying taxes in that district gets you a seat at the table.
I very much understand that, my husband on the other hand does not. I will have to keep repeating all of that to him until he wakes up. Thanks
Just tell him "we said". Lol
Bahahahaha yes!!! Everything we have said has come true so mofo better listen
To some extent - perhaps he is correct about needing to be involved to be taken seriously at the school board, but perhaps another could answer that question more effectively?
As far as the homeschooling aspect - is it worth sacrificing your child on the altar for the fight against the school board? This would be my argument. If the child was an adult, certainly, but they are a child.. Absorbing all of the hate, fear, indoctrination. Simultaneously you must fight the system literally and figuratively at home as well due to that osmosis. Exposure to broken and fraudulent peers filled with pop culture rot, moral decay. Even beyond exposure to those dreaded "teachers" are the fellow children which can be just as bad in their own way as they come from sleepy homes with parents that have been fully indoctrinated as well.
Anyone's best bet is to be able to educate their own child, primarily within the family. This is how it should be - state sponsored and mandated education camps elsewhere produce exactly what one would think: dumbed down drones. We see the evidence everyday.
If the only argument to keep the child in the system is to continue to fight that system I would strongly hesitate - the damage to the child isn't worth that fight. Fight on a different front, save your child. The child cannot be the future if they are sacrificed now.
Thank you, that was very well written, and I agree with all of it.
Best I could do in a couple of minutes, glad I could be of some help.
We homeschool. That was the goal to begin with, but corona made the choice elementary. School system is bad enough, but when you see what further some of them are doing (mask mandates, space, etc) it becomes ever more like a prison for the mind and body. This isn't even to consider the race war material they are putting into schools now. When I was a child, you would have NEVER seen a poster advertising a specific excellence of race or achievement. It would simply be that there was an American astronaut, or whatever. I was recently on site at a school (elementary) for some work and I observed so much material there that shocked me. Just little things at times, like posters talking about "BLACK EXCELLENCE IN SPACE" - why do we need to break it down by race for children? Well, if we're breeding some race war the reason is evident. It should be American excellence in space, regardless of race.
My child attended a public Kindergarten, but that's the farthest it went and we still have problems due to her attendance there (destroying the desire to learn, etc).
Husband really wants son to experience school, he will be in kindergarten. I asked son "are you sure you want to go to school, you will have to get up super early?" And he responded, "nope, homeschool, i dont want to wake up early".... me too son, me too. Lol Daughter going into secpnd grade said only reason she wanted to go to school was to see her friend, not good enough a reason. So presenting all my info to hubs soon, wish me luck.
I made the decision to home school many years ago. It was not a popular decision with some of my family members, including my husband at the time. My children are 28 and 30 years old now and I can honestly say it's been the best decision I ever made. BY FAR.
Last night we all went out for dinner to celebrate a birthday. We were chatting away about the latest bullshit "Delta Variant" news when my oldest son suddenly thanked me LOUDLY & PUBLICLY for both not vaccinating and for home schooling him.
I thank God every day for the blessing of two strong healthy smart sons who are able to think critically. But the gift of really truly knowing your children and watching them grow and mature DAILY into fine young adults is priceless. I can't imagine having it any other way.
Having said all that, one son did want to participate in sports and the other in music. We were able to do wrestling, football and band through our school district. Additionally, one son took calculus online through the state because I am not a math genius?
By the time kids reach high school they're really teaching themselves anyways.
So very true! Well said.
We decided to homeschool our children and we have a very good public school system.
This site lists enough reasons why. https://www.relfe.com/wp/children/55-serious-reasons-homeschool/
To get started visit this site they make it super simple and affordable.

If you have any legal concerns these people can help. https://hslda.org/
The only reason you need is, they are your children and no other human except their spouse will love them more than you.
Thank you! That first link was a great read and am sharing with hubs and friends and family.
I have always been a big proponent of public schools and supporting your local school district. After a year in a new school district, I am homeschooling my son. He is going into High school and I cannot expose him to the crap going on.
I moved to a new state last year and a district that has been the worst in the area on mitigation processes and the school board does not care about the parents. The May school board meeting the president of the board had YT ban the video because of misinformation on Covid by the parents. Which everything said by the parents was 100% factual. I was one of the parents to speak. The school board is now trying to get parent comments excluded from all future videos of meetings.
While there, I started talking to other parents and found out that our schools are applying CRT to the curriculum. They began affinity groups. If a student disagrees with anything they become a target and there have been several students beaten up because of it.
I also found out that our school board president has been the one pushing all the covid crap because her child has other health issues. She is also married to a Democrat state rep. There is someone running against her this year but until voter fraud is addressed in our county, I don't think a change will happen.
My in laws and mom think I am making a mistake because they think he needs the High school experience but what is going on in schools is not the High school experience I want to subject my child to.
It is a hard decision to make. There are homeschool co-ops everywhere that you can join to provide social engagement and share knowledge. I wish you the best and you will make the best decision that will fit your child/children's needs.
That is really messed up, sounds similar to our district bs.
I am tired of hearing that the kids need to go to school to have a "normal" childhood, or whatever. And that comes from the husband too, so really trying to just build my case to either homeschool or private.
Best of luck. I really enjoyed the 1 month I had of homeschooling. The kids love it bc they dont have to qake up super early and arent stuck at a desk all day. Lots of perks to homeschool.
Stay strong. Find a group of like minded people in your area to spend time with. " socializing"
Don't use your kids as leverage OP. You are fighting for them by keeping them away from that marxist filth. Every sacrifice you make to ensure one of you can be home to raise your children is fighting for them.
Now as far as the benefits of home schooling:
Your children are being raised by people who actually care about them. You don't want them raised by some purple haired goon or even worse - their peers!
You can cater the curriculum to the interests and learning capabilities of each child. Sitting in a school all day is a terrible way to learn for most people.
Save time. School doesn't need to be 6-8 hours a day. It's super inefficient as most of the day is spent fucking around.
School is a glorified day care designed to break the bond between parent and child so they can fill their minds with marxist poison and make them dependent on the state.
No homework. Homework is an absolute cancer. it does fuck all and it makes people miserable. I can't believe they have our kids for 6-8 hours a day and then they send them home to do more. That's family time you bastards. What have you been doing with my child all day?
I could go on all day, but that'll do for now.
Thank you, agreed!
Excellent points.
You can still have a voice without your kids in the system.
I decided to homeschool this year because I wanted to give my son a biblically centered education. Something that no matter where you are, or how not woke the school is, you will never get.
Plus I know my kid more than anyone. I can switch between teaching styles to accommodate his needs, something that public teachers just can't do. He will never be left behind.
I can take him to all kinds of field trips. Whenever we want. There are plenty of homeschool organizations that get together for trips and play.
Getting to spend time with each other is something that you will never regret. It will be difficult at times, but its worth it.
Thank you
To be blunt. Don't be an idiot and subject your own children to the BS of the Marxist, woke, never saw a grant they wouldn't take ( cause you'd be crazy to turn down the free money for the district even if the grant requires enslaving the little children your school district is supposed to educate) school district.
Putting your own children through abuse just so you can have some supposed better position to complain about said abuse is asinine and frankly an abdication of your own responsibility to your own children.
Your own money from taxes is used to pay for the school district. You therefore have every right to participate and complain and campaign and push for change.
Stop bowing to false reasoning that you can't do anything if your own kids aren't stuck living with the abuse. This argument is meant to keep your kids I the abusive public school system and from there they can destroy them and turn them against you.
I don't mind blunt, I appreciate and completely agree with you. I just need to figure out how to get my husband to understand this. He is pretty awake to everything but still has his moments. He believes having them in the system gives us more leverage and I disagree. I have been fighting our school board for months and have been communicating with these rats and know how they work. Subjecting our children to this is just what u said, asinine.
I know it sounds trite. Schools are nothing like they were back when we attended. Now, there is so little time spent learning how to think....pretty much at a point in our state they only teach to the standardized tests. Decide for yourselves your priorities. Family, faith? Home schooling can be a much better way to prepare them for the real world. Speaking with people of all ages. Not just artificially grouped by age. You can work at your child's pace and speed thru some areas where they are already knowledgeable and take extra time to work on any area giving them trouble. Also, room to add those interest based projects you want to do together. Make everything a learning experience. Best wishes.I still believe it was definitely worth doing even if not all done perfectly. Prayers for your family.
Please do not be discouraged by the length of this video. There is a lot of very relevant and important information about how these corporations and universities are planning to and have been corralling the school system into their agenda. It is Time to inform yourself about the deeper intricacies of what and how your child is being taught and who the people are who are making these decisions for your school. It will vary, I’m sure, depending on location.
The discernment and discovery or pursuit of truth is the most important thing one can have to protect yourself and your family in this day we find ourselves.

If your kids are attending the school, you have no leverage. Only potential “customers “ are of interest to these goons and tyrants.

You can't generalize by thinking only about Covid. As long as masks and shots are not required move on to more important topics. What is being taught? Do you agree with the curricula? Speak with the teachers about their lesson plans. Ask about Critical Race Theory, Sex-Ed, Religion, etc. If you don't agree with the plans then look for either private or charter schools. The other important thing are basics of education reading, writing, math, science, etc. Speak with other parents about their experience assuming you can find other parents who share your concerns,
Woke teachers and administrators are the worst. They are full on leftists and if you find them at your school, go elsewhere. Small private schools can be costly but often smaller Christian schools are affordable.
Kids need to socialize. The lock downs took a toll on them. They need to be able to interact and just be kids. Homeschooling works best if you can join up with a few other families nearby and have enough time and ability to split the duties between parents agreeing on who will teach what. Going on field trips to add variety and meeting up with other home school groups can be fun.
Not all teachers are bad or woke even if they work in a liberal school system. Some might be available to work evenings and weekends to help with homeschool. Yes, you need to pay them but if you gather a few other families whose kids are homeschooled to split the cost, it could be worth it to insure everyone is advancing through the material.
Very good points. Covid response was number 1 on the list bc it is all lies and the school participating just shows how infiltrated our system is, all they want is the money they dont give a shit about our children. The teachers and staff at our school for the most part are pretty conservative and not woke but they dont have much control over what they teach anymore bc of the stupid ipads. That is also where they sneak crt and other woke agendas thrpugh the apps that they have the kids "learn on".
In some states, you can opt on to some activities (sports, band etc.) and still homeschool. Check with your local HSLDA or homeschool co-op.
Besides these issues, what is being taught to your kids in public school. Have you considered private or parochial schools?
For 1, CRT, but it isnt called that, they simply renamed it and put fluff around it to distract most people from realizing. History in itself is being rewritten and we now have our modern day book burn with these stupid ipads for every student. The district is getting rid of "old out of date books" was written in one of the plans. They learn to write with their fingers and rarely use pen and paper. But yet our district is touted one of the best in the state. And yes we could pay for private but husband is cheap and stubborn, even though the christian school I like is very affordable.
Would your child be eligible for scholarships or grants from the school? That would help with the cost. (also appealing to grandparents or others who might be willing to help, with your husband's permission, of course, might be a way to get around the 'cheapskate issue')
Oh, we have the money, we moved out of NY to avoid the ginormous property taxes, i would say what we saved there can go to pur kids having a private education. I just need to put my foot down, just preparing my case. Thanks for the input.
Any family with the resources and/or parental availability to homeschool, should (in my opinion). What greater obligation do we have to our children than to oversee their education and guide them toward success and competence in adulthood?
When kids are younger, the energy required to homeschool is quite high. By around 3rd/4th grade, with a good core curriculum (we use Ron Paul's for literature, history and science - I think any Patriot would love the content of his curriculum) a lot of the work can be done independently by students.
Not every home/family situation makes homeschool possible but if it is something you want to do there are a lot of potential ways to get creative with learning pods, neighbor and friend collaboration and when possible, even calling on extended family members to help as they are able etc.
The battle to make public schools places where we could all comfortably send our kids to learn is one worth fighting whether your kids attend the public schools or not.
The most important thing is your children. There are many online home academies that are very good. Ron Paul has a very good one for older kids. Big river academy is great for all ages. Many more. Make sure they're non common core. Dont listen to people when the tell you the socialization is more important. The absence of State Propaganda is the most important
Very good. Socialization is not what happens during school hours unless you mean learn to use foul language or to be disrespectful of parents and to just go along to get along. Not worth it. When your kids attend a high school with a daycare center that isn't for the teachers children,... you might want to reconsider what is happening up to that Point in Elementary and Middle. Good values can't be overlooked.
Critical Race Theory
You don't hafta file a FOIA. You can simply put in a request through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction, that's what it's called in WA anyways.
Thank you! Will do!
