People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.

The very first thing they (we) say when entering public service is SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATED AGAINST ALL ENEMIES; FOREIGN OR DOMESTIC!!!
