You are correct. Almost everyone has their work persona vs their hanging out with friends persona. Kind of have to since folks have to work together. And it has zero to do with race.
ETA: how many times have we run into co-workers out in the wild and are surprised by their not at work persona and/or appearance?
Bingo.
WTF do these assholes expect? That they can wear pajamas and slippers, while swearing and smoking a cigarette at work? And that goes for ALL races. They're paying you to represent the company professionally and if your social circle is radically different than your professional circle, then you better be able to flip the switch.
And maybe instead of blaming "the white professional world" they should blame black culture for ill preparing them for the professional work place.
Just like I don’t cuss at my clients like I do at my TV when Joe Biden appears. Duh.
I definitely put on my business pants during the day and that includes not cussing and not reading GA all day like I do before and after work. I also don’t talk about Q or any of my alternate beliefs.

I have some news for people who think "Code Switching" is something new.
It is NOT.
Everyone everywhere edits their personality to the circumstances they are in. When it comes to business and working, I am a no nonsense pleasant professional, when I am home and talking to my cats, I am a stupid nincompoop.
GET OVER THIS "CODE SWITCHING" bullshit.
My work and personal aren't very different. My filter is just about gone so I'll likely be fired soon. The 15 months of working from home ... now that we are heading back in I'll likely continue to scratch myself and pick my nose at will. I work for a northern European company that is too stupid to actively be deep state but just goes along with what all the other lemmings are doing. Recently they've taken great strides to prematurely put themselves out of business and I'll be unemployed but the slow motion train wreck is fun to watch.
Actually I'm myself no matter where I am. I'm just more relaxed at home.
The delusions of these people is unbelievable.
They have to come into work, on-time, then do math correctly, not in a racially equitable way. Oh the horrors!!! Slavery by another name!
