That was NOT fireworks. That was a BIG bomb. That truck is a bomb disposal truck with designed with an explosion proof round vessel to mitigate explosions and vent them. Class C or even commercial grade fire works would not turn a truck like that into shrapnel. Even a small bomb would not do that it would be totally contained. That's more like military grade explosives think IED made from mortar shells.

I'm a bomb dog handler, did it in Afghanistan and Iraq. We worked closely with EOD. Why would they purposely detonate? Especially on the city?
