...but we should take a moment to take courage in the fact that this dark chapter our beloved nation is concluding, is indeed coming to an end. We are not alone.
More amazing, that we were here to see it, that we are a part a part of it, and we have been chosen to bind our country's wounds when it's our turn. We will tell these stories for hundreds of years.
Eternal love and deepest respect to those who began this nation's journey. Fiercest loyalty and the gravest commitment to those who will save it. Highest courage and honor to those beside us. Faith in God to guide us.
Never take our independence for granted. Never see freedom as permanent. We all know by now, there are those that hate it and us. Fires of hell for them.
I don't know you. I don't need to know you. But I stand beside you to defend this blessed nation, whatever that looks like.
May Independence Day be a day of proud and profound gratefulness.
Your words echo the sentiment, “truer words were never spoken”. I think many, many of us grew up in a generation with pride in our heritage, and patriotism for our Country. My grandparents suffered through the Great Depression. My father fought in WWII. I found Jesus when I was 13 yrs old and have followed Him for 50 years. I think we naively believed that everybody felt the way we did after 9/11 - as a young parent I remember watching in disbelief as the second tower fell. Talk about “watching a movie”. I still can’t wrap my head around the idea that people we trusted were likely behind that. I was 7 years old when JFK was assassinated - no clue at the time that my future was changed in that moment, and now I learn, not by some lone “commie” gunman but by people we thought were on our side - evil hidden in plain sight. I still don’t understand a lot, but I do know that God has known all along. Our free will - to choose good over evil - is the epitome of what this battle we face now is all about. How will we choose? I am so grateful to have found a group of Patriots here! Many share my Faith - others don’t. But I can tell you God exists and there is “None like Him”. When you stand for Truth, for what is right, He knows. May we all stay the course and keep our focus on what’s right - God abhors violence and offers, always, unconditional love to all who will turn from evil and embrace good. May God bless us all, and may He bless and keep safe our true President and his Lady, and all those he has partnered with in standing against evil. And on this celebration of our independence and our Nation’s Covenant with Him, may God bless and keep America!
And keep it great!
