Probably out of fear that the shit in Chicago could spill over into the suburbs. Anyone seen the number of shootings there this weekend? Shithole city.
https://heyjackass.com/
A Chicago cop gave me this website
Holy crap! Over five million!
It’s not as impressive without Chicago. ;).
Haha! 5.2 million? Seems way higher than most other States Just tells me Illinois is...er...was...woefully unarmed.
Those are rookie numbers!
Probably a lot of (former?) leftists finally realizing what a good idea the 2nd Amendment actually is...
My concealed carry class last year was filled with many of those.
If you remove the voter fraud IL is a red state.
There are good indications that this is true for almost every state as well. Can't say 100% though - yet. The way things are going, we might get to 50 red states soon.
Illinois resident here, northwest of the city by about 20 miles. Personally, I know of three neighbors who armed up recently…two of which said they never thought they’d buy a gun. My dad bought an AR-15 but already had a few weapons of his own. A lot more people I know openly talk about firearms now, too, when it wouldn’t have ever come up in conversation.
Anecdotal bias, I know, but things are definitely strange in IL. Everyone I know in the burbs avoids the city as much as possible, and some friends in the city express the desire to move. Even my more liberal and asleep acquaintances will express dismay or stress about city life, but can never outright explain what makes them feel that way. Cognative dissonance, I guess.
Yep, people are moving into the suburbs as fast as possible which is why all this new construction is going on despite the state population shrinking for a twelfth year in a row. Also I've bought more guns in the past year than the previous 15 and the missus finally got on of her own as well.
I'm down in Central Illinois - bought my first guns ever!! While getting my new 22 - got the last boxes of ammo on the shelf - and that was March of 2020!!
So much for the theory that Chicago people go to Indiana to buy guns.
Amen times 1000!!
Now i know where all my bullets went lol.
yes the Democrats are the best gun salesmen by far
Imagine how high this is when you include 80% builds in the states that allow it.
Hmmm.... thats a lot of guns. Good. ...I wonder if they remembered ammo??
