Would you people stop with that future POTUS himself BS. They aren't monarchs. We don't elect them because of who their daddy is. Stop worshiping these people. I get it Eric and Jr are both impressive men, but that doesn't mean either one should be POTUS.
If people feel that nobody but another Trump will do at this time in our history, they're free to have that opinion, Darwyn. Nobody said they're monarchs or a dynasty or any of that imaginary bullshit.
E.g., if Don Jr. runs, he will win the Republican nomination hands down, and will have remained in top position from the day he announced. If he demonstrates that he is legitimately the best man for the job, and wins the debates based on that, he will win the general in a landslide. His name is Donald Trump, too, as an added bonus. But he will mercilessly lampoon and hold to account the deepstate and the fake news media just like Dad does, and that's what a lot of patriots want to see. No other republican has any chance against him, in full Trump mode. Better get used to it. And quit assuming the rest of us are such simpletons. We're smarter than that. I happen to think having another Donald Trump for another eight years would be the greatest thing the United States ever saw. We need someone non-deepstate who will relentlessly pursue the cabal to the ends of the earth.
As he's a former CIA director, I don't trust Pompeo to be that guy. I just don't. He could be a Bill Barr or Mike Pence clone for all we know. Says all the right things, then mollycoddles the deepstate. The president's sons, I do trust. I believe the nation as a whole feels the same. Not based on dynasty. Based on being right for America. America first is what it's all about.
You clearly aren't reading the same crap I am. Back when Trump first took office people actually suggested Ivanka would make a great first female POTUS. I'm sorry, you might not be, but plenty of people say crap like this purely because they have the Trump name and they know nothing about them. A lot of it is hero worship and that is the exact opposite of what we need. You and I both know that.
Me... I'd like to see them run for Senate or a House seat. If they really want to do politics then they should prove themselves. I want to see a voting record. I want to see a record as Mayor of NY or hell anything. This whole idea that just because they are Trump's sons and have a modest if not pretty solid record as businessmen they should just go right the to the front of the line and become POTUS... You are deluding yourself if you think hero worship isn't at play at least a little.
Just imagine the triggering white liberals experience when they see us talking about all of the Trump family becoming POTUS. Maybe that helps understand why many of us say things like "All Trumps must become POTUS" :-).
Here, amongst friends, I'd never just blindly support anyone just because their last name is Trump. That's stupid thinking and leads to shit like voting for people like Bushes (i.e. they're an all R family, they must be safe ... that's what I USED to think a couple of decades ago).
Personally, I wouldn't trust Ivanka Trump as POTUS ... not by a long shot. However, if I am "conversing" with a green, blue, and purple haired land whale, you bet your ass I'd have that thing convinced that I'd crawl over broken glass to see her win. Fuck them. I have no reason to be honest with such subhumans and those idiot communists are well past the point where debate would work.
Frustrating the shit out of liberals by playing into their stereotypes by saying stuff like that is OK to me ... it works. It's almost a rallying cry. Anything to make white liberals unhinged is well worth it.
Sometimes its hard to tell what is trolling and what is serious. A lot of people seem serious in their support for the Trump sons and it just seems like they are backing an unproven horse purely because of its heritage.
My comment was mostly about waking people up and forcing them to at least look at why they are giving that support. They need to ask themselves are they being misguided and stupid. I can't tell them the answer. They need to figure it out for themselves.
Blind faith bad, earning your position through action and example good. No one should be worshipped because of their last name. In fact, no human should be worshipped period. Admiration is great when kept in check.
I understand what you are saying, and I should have stated that in my original post.
I think the time for those kinds of discussions are when they actually happen. Right now, saying that you'll vote any Trump into office, regardless of believing that or not, isn't doing any damage. If anything, it's a rallying cry. Also, I know for a fact that it drives the left crazy (it's also hypocritical since they'd vote for Kennedys until the end of time, but I digress).
A few years down the road if/when another Trump campaigns for POTUS, that will be the time to ask people if they're doing due diligence. Right now, certainly nudge people so that they don't fall into that trap (you did a good job bringing it up ... I am not criticizing you at all). However, I wouldn't make it a mission at this time ... there are much bigger fish to fry.
