When the internet goes down, it will be extreme for those who do not have any knowledge or experience from past ancestors. Food will be in bad shortage because no freight will be hauled nor gasoline for your vehicles. If you know how to plant a garden, now is the time to do it. Plus buy extra seeds for next year if you do not know how to save seeds from the last of your garden.
There will be no electricity or gas to preserve your food/refrigerate and cook your food. You should have plenty of canned meats, flour for bread/yes you can bake bread without an oven, canned veggies and fruits, canned juice, dry milk, koolaid, tea and coffee. Make sure you have a campfire coffee pot for some good coffee/tea. Water will not be able to be pumped through your city and rural communities. If you have a well; two thumbs up. If not you will need to buy bottled water and something to catch rainwater run off.
Also you will not be able to get your medications. If you have high blood pressure then you need to look up what type of herbs there are to lower it. Garlique, cinnamon tablets, coriander/aka cylantro, are some alternatives. Do these things now before the lights go out and darkness is around us. You will need a way to stay cool and to cook so if you have access to a camper parked in the woods or a root cellar, great!
Make sure you take a chopping axe for firewood, a couple of concrete blocks and an oven rack so that you may have a way to cook. If you have a coleman stove, then make sure you have plenty of fuel. If you have a Grill, make sure you have plenty of propane and/or charcoal. Also, candles, matches, hurricane lamps, flashlights etc. And a way to get news if you can have access to a weather emergency radio for any announcements out there. Don't forget your Bible and a first aid kit. God bless us all. THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN. IT HAS BEEN FORETOLD.
It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they took out the web. Have everything backed up and stuff loaded to SD cards. Wouldn’t hurt to have some food on hand since it would affect food supply via truckers and stores communicating supplies needed. Books don’t hurt.
A loss of personal internet use is one thing. A shutdown in the supply system for food, and inability to access/use your money, total loss of ability to communicate and eventually to drive anywhere, loss of water, heat, A/C, things could get extreme fast.
I'll get caught up on a lot of projects.

Yep, food, water, gas, medicine.
A generator would be good.
And guns & ammo if it goes on long enough
Have about 3 months worth of worthless fiat as well from what I heard. Banks could be down.

Time off from work would be nice. Though it would be mildly inconvenient to not have internet.
I suppose I could catch up on my reading though.
