I would argue that the divide is more between the people who outright reject as a lie any perspective derived from the mainstream news, and people who do not.
It’s true that I hold positions that align with the “mainstream”, but it does not logically follow that this can only occur BECAUSE the mainstream news carries it. That’s a correlation/causation fallacy.
If the news reports that the sky is blue, and I also believe the sky is blue, you are far more likely to be suspicious of the sky color than I am.
So while I certainly can’t speak for all nonbelievers, I can say for myself that you guys are paying FAR more attention to what the mainstream news is saying than I do. I don’t even have cable.
And that's the divide. If their media changes their perception thus to change their perception to the point where the media can just align their opinions with the propaganda they're spreading (e.g. if I believe the sky is blue and the media says it's blue) then they lose connection to reality.
They are wholly susceptible to media programming, more than any of us are. They only believe what already aligns with their beliefs, which were changed slowly over time by the media, Reddit, Twitter, their favorite celebrities or late night personalities, video games, movies and even books.
They are unable to escape their programming, and they screech at us like whelps on parmesan berserker rushing Leroy, with no one in the final raid to handle them.
I just read a thing a couple of days ago here from a user saying that if Facebook is censoring news that Jan 6th was staged, then it must be staged. Maybe I am wrong, and if so, I apologize, but I don’t think everyone here would disagree that the MSM or Big Tech taking one position automatically makes you consider the opposite position to be more trustworthy.
It’s not that I think you’re stupid. It’s that I think you’re suspicious. And when you see anything anti-Trump as an enemy of the plan, then that suspicion will inevitably leak into doubting some true things just because the people you’re suspicious of are the ones making the claims.
see, here's the problem. The mainstream media, big tech etc.. have a REPEATED pattern of telling outright and laughably BLATANT lies. This is a problem with the left as a whole they are unable to tell or accept even simple truths that require little to no research to arrive at. They have no interest in telling the truth and likely never have and our trust in them as a society is woefully misplaced. Not only this but our reliance on others to tell the truth for us makes us stupid and weak. It has become so corrupted and so predictable that it became a rule in the first place and it holds true now and until the mainstream media hopefully collapses.
You must understand, folks here have been following news events obsessively for the past 9 months (some for much longer). During that time we have recognized patterns in how things are reported by certain media outlets.
It’s not as if one day we all just decided to believe Facebook censors the truth - we have witnessed them do it over and over again. So now when Facebook censors something that represents another data point suggesting the thing was actually true.
I get the suspicion. I haven’t had a Facebook account for a long time, and haven’t had cable for even longer.
So you moderate a subreddit that is dedicated to countering Q...yet seem to have no awareness of what Q is actually about, and admit to being largely ignorant of world events in general?

Dude, I didn’t watch Jan 6th on CNN. I watched it right here, through the feeds stickied by the mods. I had about six tabs open with simultaneous streams from homebrew Trump people.
I know what’s going on. I’m not a Luddite.
I admit, that was a bit of a twist on what you said about not watching MSM. But I stand by my point about you guys not understanding how we view things.
I will say, you deserve credit for having the fortitude to engage with us honestly. You seem far more reasonable (and sane) than the average person on your subreddit.
You’re probably right for the most part that the vast majority of people who don’t accept Q don’t know nearly as much about it as you do. Why would they? People largely establish credibility with identity, and Q refuses to have one.
I don’t necessarily think I’m more sane, but I am far more willing than most to hang out with people with whom I don’t share realities. It infuriates my friends and has gotten me banned from like half of Reddit for daring to talk to NoNewNormal without groveling an apology to subs I have never posted to.
