My college has over the course of one week gone from requiring a 7 day quarantine for unvaccinated students to saying that all students and faculty must be vaccinated or apply for a medical or religious exemption. Now at this point, I imagine those applications will probably get shredded because communists, but I would greatly appreciate any sources that I could be directed towards to help with knowing what aspects of the covid vaccine to claim are against my religion (Catholic). Thank you.

Thank you very much.
You're welcome. Every time I see your name, I think of kittens.
Lol, that works I guess.
Don't even play their game. You do not need "an exemption". They are changing the terms. Do not validate that by utilising their limited prescription of "exemption". You are exempted. Just say that. Nothing more.
Reasons? Say you are happy to talk about reasons in a properly convened forum. Nothing more.
I am exempted. You don't need to engage with their method for telling them this. You just continue to do what you always did.
Let them get to the point of forcing you off campus - continue to attend as normal. If/when they tell you to go/leave/prevent access or any restriction on your free movement - ask for the reason in writing. Without it in writing you do not recognise the legitimacy of the command. Insist on a letter addressed to you specifically, signed by two people. Remember they are proposing to terminate your right to peaceably access your education without any existing contract provision that enables their actions explicitly. They are in the wrong. When you have the letter you ask to speak with the top person, if you aren't already, and you get their signature on the letter.
Now you can leave, relax, call round for legal help. You haven't agreed to any of their sudden new terms, they have deprived you of your property, and that is despite you telling them you are exempt. You don't need to give reasons for being exempt until you are in a courtroom, you just declare you are exempt until a court finds you otherwise.
People need to play hardball more, it is absurd you should even consider jumping through their hoops.
I might do this, but my dad is being a psycho about the vaccine and will definitely not back me on this. I will probably have to fight just to send in a religious exemption application. Thank you for the advice, but I just don’t think that I can manage the legal route.
You have a choice, a choice doesn’t mean it’s going to be smooth sailing or that family and friends won’t pressure you or tell you you’re crazy…you’ll have the last laugh here.
I should add that having this sort of attitude is like a force-field against the commies, it will never get to the point where you are in court looking at a six figure settlement, probably.
Aborted fetal cells were used to develop the vaccine. I don't have any source handy to share, but a quick search should give you sources on that. It's been verified. Note in your request that, as a Catholic, the use of aborted fetal cells is "against your sincerely held religious beliefs".
It's important to use the term in quotes, because "sincerely held religious beliefs" is the way religious exemptions are discussed in the Civil Rights Act of 1964 - which is the law that creates your ability to get an exemption in the first place.
I am a VP of HR - any time we receive a request that includes this verbiage it is definitely going to be approved, because it shows us the employee either really did their research well, or they have a lawyer. I imagine it's the same when a school evaluates a religious accommodation request.
Good luck!
Thank you very much for the terminology.
Look up the specific religious exemption form for your state

A medical exemption.
Allergies to vaccines can be a reason for refusal. Find your family physician or a physician who is skeptical about vaccines to help you.
That is really funny, but I would be worried because you have to list religion on college application. Might keep it in mind though lol
I think the Jehovah's Witnesses are also not vaccine supporters, same applies to the Amish..... but in any Reformed Church, ( PCA, Orthodox Presbyterian Church...) The denominations leave it to you as a matter of conscience rights.
Thank you for the specifics. It would be most airtight to claim Catholic, and maybe general Christian could work given the research using fetal tissue, but with the pope openly telling everyone to get the vaccine, that seems on pretty shaky ground.
I’m 7th day Adventist... it’s documented everywhere. Notarize your own religious exemption, you don’t have to specify what religion you are. I did this so my kids could attend school without shots.
I apologize for not including the 7th day Adventists- Thank you for pointing this out. Many wholistic doctors or physicians will help you with this.
It’s all good. Just wanted to add input to help. God bless
