haha that is funny.
also i found while deployed overseas, the newer folks had to be taught stick-shift as a lot of the vehicles overseas in some areas like middle east are manual transmission.

I can read cursive, but can't drive stick.
And read a clock, ruler, map AND do math without a calculator!
I'm in my 30's and can do both.
Christ, I always wanted to learn to drive manual, but I never had the opportunity, because by the time I was learning to drive, nobody I knew had a stick shift...
Taught myself how to drive a stick at 16 when my Dad tried to and gave up after 10 minutes. It sometimes was the only car available to run around after school in. I wouldn't want to drive one now but it was good to learn that.
i have heard stories of people handing handwritten notes to younger folks and being told "I can't read this". SMH.
