I think there is science to back you up. There is a known gut brain connection. When one eats sugar for a spell and then stops, the gut bacteria clamor for the sugar, aka. Cravings and irritability
There is absolutely something to this. Consider what happens when you switch up your pets food too rapidly.
People who think they can't handle a given food/diet may be able to if they eased into it gradually. A lot of first time kombucha drinkers think their stomachs can't handle it but the body adjusts. Start with small amounts. Quantities don't always map 1 to 1 either. Again, start small and let your body adjust.
pretty sure you are over ground zero on this theory. Of course, it makes perfect sense, so the "experts" in the medical field will shit all over you, but i personally think you hit an Eureka moment on this one.
