I am a nurse in NC. I can tell you that everything they've been saying about the "vaccine" and new cases is a blatant lie. I was fortunate enough to get the real facts before "they" decided to scale back what info we get and how we get it. I would never take it, nor tell anyone to take it. I am so ashamed of the medical field.
I am in 2 groups on FB that is fighting masks and vaccine mandates for our county and schools ( I know bad FB but only way to stay connected to the groups). We have had several nurses tell us that what we are hearing is not true at all. One hospital is not asking vaccine status at all. Another one is lying about % of vaxxes vs unvaxxed. They have 22 covid patients and 5 are vaxxes, not 99%. The media is making it sound like the hospitals are overrun with covid patients but in reality there are 60 covid patients in regular beds and 14 in ICU total in 5 hospitals. One nurse said there is not a delta variant test to determine the cases are in fact delta.
asked my doctor about the delta varient she said there is no way to know how many have the delta variant becouse most tests done on patients do not map out the virus.
The PCR tests are fraudulent. They are not fit for purpose.
With normal viruses you need to do a lab culture test. However, India asked the WHO for a full sequence of the delta variant and the WHO was unable to provide it. I don't see how you can do an accurate lab culture test if you have no reference to compare against.

No offense, but rather food for thought: if you all decided to go to another messaging medium, there would be another way to stay connected. Just saying.
I'm an RN and many of my nurse friends were first in line for the vax and soooo happy about it. But there's a few of us nurses who won't do it. Fortunately I have a non patient care position and I don't have to have any vaccines any more. Very happy about that.
My daughter just quit for quit for stay at home medical records review job. She was an RN for 3byears. Is so disgusted by it she won't work in the hospital.

Is there anyway they can prove they're covid patients? I mean, can they take a blood sample and see the virus under a microscope?

I feel like that is a cop out. Like I stated earlier, Can you feel good about yourself if you don't warn folks about the misinformation?
Informing people about misinformation is not my RN role at this time. I do it personally, when asked.

You're a nurse eh? You're in a perfect position to tell everyone you come in contact with that the jab is BS, especially at work.
