My son plays football at a top 25 D1 University and the coaches are threatening to kick the unvaxed kids off the team. He's gonna walk away from his dream of playing football at high level if they continue to push the poison. I'm glad to see some NFLers doing the same...
At least guys like Cole Beasley, DeAndre Hopkins, and Rick Dennison had their day in the NFL. I feel badly for guys like your son who are victims of age and circumstance. Encourage your son to stay strong and hold his ground, and we’ll include him in our prayers. Even if the smoke doesn’t clear by this fall and he misses a season, eventually the world will turn and I have faith that he’ll be able to play high level ball again in the near future.
Reminds me of high school kids who graduated in 2020 who were spring sport athletes. They got their seasons canceled by lock downs, but unlike college kids who were granted another year of eligibility by the NCAA, high school grads can’t go back to high school to play their missed season. Kids who were hoping for a good senior season to get a scholarship or other chance to play in college really got shafted. At least your son can preserve a year of eligibility if he doesn’t play this year.
Thank you for your prayers and God bless! It's been difficult for sure but we firmly feel things happen for a reason. He said if he gets kicked off he's going to do what the coaches don't have the balls to do...contact the NCAA overlords and protest. I will be with him every step of the way.
All these kids need to take.a stand. My friend’s daughter just gave up her med school admission because it seems she is one of only a few in the country refusing.
But as the mother of another now-graduated D1 athlete, it is tough to see them have to give up dreams. Hopefully it will be for only one year.
This may end up being good news. I imagine that half or more of the kids who take the vax will be unable to play next year (or quite possibly ever again) for various reasons. Your kid will dominate and get a big contract when that happens.
These kids are in a tough spot. I read an article about generations and how the hard ones create softer, then softer, then softer. From there, a strong generation is born.

Ahe can keep training and walk on somewhere after they're all desperate for students.

Sports of the future after all this passes, could be epic, and as you said this boy will be among the elite. May it be so

Smart, Brave and Principled kid — you did well, very well indeed.
Thank you. My son and some of his team mates said they are not giving up and they will "fight back hard". Very brave young men indeed!
That must be hard :/
