Women seem far more susceptible to the cult of reality tv/social media too, look at any dating site and you'll see hundreds of women whose personalities consist entirely of Netflix, weed and coffee. There's still a shitload of simps who love that shit too. Our society is so lost.

Back when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were breaking up, I was in the airport waiting for my flight and these two women sitting next to me were talking. One brought up the fact that they had announced their separation and they proceeded to go into a mode of 'oh how awful, isn't it a shame' and the whole time I am silently thinking to myself WTF, you don't actually KNOW these people. It is not like they are good friend or family. It was just weird.
I don't understand how any person could possibly bitch about how corrupt and secretive government is and then pat themselves on the back because they don't know what the president is doing behind closed doors. But hey at least he isn't Trump!
I try not to hate people because that's what the Bible says. These morons have also been brainwashed by constant propaganda so I almost pity them. I just hope enough of them can change.
My son, who is an ex woke liberal but based now, regrets how shallow they have all become! He fronts a band, that by the way, is quite good! He can’t stand talking to them more than a couple hours at a time! Their whole world is wrapped up in entertainment cultural BS! Other than him, the rest are liberal! He tells me daily, they have no idea why! Brain dead zombies, who have all been Indoctrinated by the university system! Pull your kids now and send them to trade school!
It is true - society has been lulled into an apathetic trance, and until and unless they are confronted with the stark reality of a life-threatening illness or a tragic loss, they will go on involving themselves in and worshipping the pretend lives of characters they see on their boob tube. It’s easy to get caught up in it. We don’t have cable anymore, so we’re saved from the MSM bunk, but we do have favourite shows we watch on IPTV and I’ll confess to getting emotionally involved to the point of anger or tears over a storyline. And it’s that emotional connection that sucks us in - it’s marketing at its finest. It’s when we forget it isn’t real that we run into trouble. That’s common (and especially dangerous for kids) and it is akin to an addiction. When we can’t separate entertainment from reality, it’s time to shut it off and do something productive - preferably out in nature. (Which brings up another subject - the manipulation of weather, fires, etc - it seems to me they are trying to drive us indoors where we are isolated and go to the TV or social media for companionship. But that’s for another thread.)

Yes, I gave away our TV 6 years ago when we realised that we hadn't even switched it on for two years!
