A week ago I had bought a Diet Coke in a supermarket. I'm in a country with a mask mandate, so outside I pulled my mask down to have sip, pulled it back up. Then I had a massive burp, but because of my mask the only escape path was upwards, where it caused irritation in my left eye.
UAE has fines for not wearing a mask.
Oman has a $260 fine and possible deportation for not wearing a mask.
On the other hand, 2 of the 3 mask layers have been removed. "Face covering" does not specify how many layers, porosity, tightness of seal, gaps next to nose.
Wow. That's a serious challenge to blast through (although, with some good 'ol Patriot drive and fortitude, I'm sure we can blast through even that barrier!)

It was debunked for real, scent molecules are smaller than viruses. HOWEVER that doesn't change that the gaps between fibers in cloth are still much wider than viruses and they can just fly right through them.
Thanks for that info. I had thought scents were larger than viruses before you forced me to look it up. FYI covid is approx 100 nanometters. some scents are as small as 1-2 nanometers.

Typical mask if I recall correctly can only block 45micons.
