This scares me, I am a combat vet disabled in Iraq. My only income is from my disability pension. I have a daughter to feed and no savings or family to speak of.
First, don't let fear grip you. Second, think of how you can be creative with stocking food and resources through cost-saving measures (coupons, bulk, dented cans, whatever). Third, see if you can add some income from another source. A lot of telecommuting jobs opened up due to covid. I just took a job dispatching tire changes to 18-wheelers with flats. There are men doing the job too, not just us women-folk. You just need high speed internet and a good computer. I had to buy a headset and a ethernet cable. Be creative- youtube channel, woodwork on etsy, teaching man classes to kids with no dads on Saturdays. That was one of the ideas I had. My boys are so blessed that my husband has taught them so much- but you should see the fear in boys' eyes when they are faced with something like working an air compressor, a gun at a range, or a mower problem if they haven't had a dad to show them. The world is sorely short of men, and you are one.
And so will all the food stamp people, because that will stop too. Just try to get what extra you can. I agree with somebody above - rice, beans (the dry variety). Especially the rice. Every time I go to the grocery store, I pick up a bag of rice. I heard at Woodstock, people had rice in their pockets so when they got hungry they just tossed some grains in and swallowed. It mixed with the liquids in their bellies and filled them up enough to not be hungry. This will not be a long-term thing in my opinion so while nutrition is important, it can slide for a bit. You just want to make sure you keep hunger at bay. There is nothing NOTHING worse than your own starving child. (IMHO)

Look into local churches with food and other necessity outreach programs (hugs)
Importance of plugging in to a good local church and community group. Develop that network intentionally, but without agenda.
do you have a place to live?

Agreed, that is one of very few things that could turn me into a violent man.
