If getting covid meds as a just in case preventative measure, what is the cheapest way?
I know America's frontline drs will prescribe but how much do they send and at what charge? (Dose, number of pills, mg, etc) Plus there is the consult fee with this option.
I could order without a script elsewhere but the shipping is $30 and i don't know how much, what strength to make an equal comparison.
Edited to add: I would specifically like to know what dosage is being prescribed. I've also heard that you can get more for your household and I'd like to know what is sent for that too. Thanks
I called them, and they referred me to a local doc who's associated with them. I was charged $95 for the 8 min call and the prescription was $140.
Not cheap.
Vitamin D. 99.5% of all hospitalizations are vitamin D deficient. Can buy a 6 month supply at Costco for less than $20.
Don't give your memory to Costco, but yeah stock up and get outdoors. Zinc too.
The recent "infrastructure" bill has a D provision to make supplements require a doctor's prescription.
I have heard specifically D THREE (3) .
From frontline docs, I got 100 zinc tablets for $10 with 2 refills on it. I got 30 HCQ with directions to take 1 per week which cost $70 with no refills. So for $90, (1 refill of the zinc) I have about a 6 month supply of zinc and HCQ to be used prophylactically. The consult fee is in addition to the Rx. I called the pharmacist to ask about using the HCQ only if I develop covid symptoms, and he said to take 2 HCQ for 5 days along with the zinc. I'm loaded on vit D and have no other medical issues, so I'm saving to use only if needed.
I went through AFLD and paid the $90. When their pharmacy called, I got the info, and called my pharmacy with the info. My pharmacy called their pharmacy and transferred the script to my pharmacy. That way my pharmacy bills my insurance. That's my long way of explaining to you how I get my meds for just my copay. My husband did the same. We're on different doses because different work conditions. We both were prescribed 1 months worth with 3 refills. We were prescribed HCQ, Ivermectin, and one round of Zpak. I found them to be very very easy to deal with.
Wow. They said they couldn't do the insurance billing, so I never asked or even thought about transferring Rx. This was several months ago that I got mine and was happy to get it, so I didn't make an issue of not being able to use insurance. Good for you for being able to have your pharmacist cooperate with this. I imagine some wouldn't.
I want sure they would, and was surprised that they did.
You can go to the feed store and buy ivernmectin. About $5.
Price out HQC at the local pharmacy and check for restrictions on out of state prescriptions. Once you know that information you will see what options available to you.
Tractor Supply Co.
Or Amazon.
I’d like to know as well...good questions.
I had Covid in February, all I took was vitamin C and D and zinc. Had mild cold symptoms for one day and then was tired for a couple days.
Liquid bottle is good for covering more of your herd. Pipettes are great, flavorless in whatever juice your calves and heifers drink.
I’ll second the horse ivermectin. I use the apple flavor. Not as bad as I thought it would be. I also got another type of dewormer that’s good for keeping cancer away. Mycancerstory.rocks is the website. A big THANK YOU to the Pede who recommended that website to me!
5 bucks for ivermectin online. Countrymax. Have bought several. Non apple flavor.
Read up about lysine. Cheap and looks like it might be effective at stopping C from replicating.
I can get 30 plaquenil 200 mg tabs, 14 stromecol 3mg tabs and an inhaler of symbicort for a total of $170 shipped. But I don't know how to compare that (dosage, amounts, etc) to what I'd get thru aflds. See what I'm asking?
