I think the swedes as misguided as they are, are not prone to bribery. They also don't seem like the type of people to be swayed by emotional mumbo jumbo.
Sweden is somewhat odd. They let all the Muslims in and have had tons of problems as a result. They don't like to talk about it because they are very egalitarian but their crime rate went up big as a result. But it wasn't the Swedes doing the crimes it was the Muslims. So, how many of the Covid deaths were due to Muslims bringing the virus in? On the practical side, they were correct to not lock down nor mandate masks. They saw it correctly as a seasonal flu and not much more. They didn't go crazy with fear porn and 24x7 news. People went about their regular routines, perhaps a bit more cautiously but not like here. I think their elected officials are more responsible to the people in general and citizens put more trust in them because of how they handle things like Covid. They aren't governed by corrupt greedy bastards who only want to feather their own nests.
