Very random selection here, but we’ve seen these recently and liked them. (Also 100% free, as is pretty much every other movie you could hope to ever watch. Just make sure you have a VPN before you download via torrent.)
I would second the original Sandlot (not sure if there was a remake or sequel)
Angels in the Outfield (with Danny Glover)....sorry, Disney.
Field of Dreams
We Are Marshall
We don't like Disney much but did read Banner in the Sky so watched the old movie adaptation - Third Man on the Mountain. Very good and my children loved it. We also watched the documentary on filming it - that itself was fascinating.
The Pippi Longstocking series is great. We also are working through the first 8 Abbott and Costello movies.
Also as we just read all the Sherlock Holmes books aloud we are working through the BBC Jeremy Brett series.
Love stand by me. It’s a bit somber but alot of it is lighthearted. I believe it is actually rated R, but that is only because there is some swearing. No nudity and no sexual content or jokes unlike a lot of today’s pg 13 movies.
If you want action then try "Revelation Road".
If you want love then try "Love comes Softly".
If you want a great true story of survival then try "Shackleton's Captain".
I suggest nothing after 2010. Everything since is woke garbage.
true!

All 3 Johnny English Movies, with Rowan Atkinson from Mr. Bean fame. Good innocent Laughs at noone expenses...

If he likes martial arts "The Paper Tigers" was a great film with strong morality for boys. There is one N-bomb in it though.
The Goonies
a most non heinous recommendation!!
