They would have to be clinically insane sociopaths to keep the most patriotic base of support in the country hanging on a military rescue if none were forthcoming. Has any of these men ever displayed psychopathic tendencies in the past? No. Then what are the odds all six men would suddenly go clinically insane simultaneously? Zero.
It's either that they all went insane at once, or we have nothing to worry about.
