If the military was up to something, knocking out power to people's homes would NOT be part of the strategy.
Their goal would be to encourage people to stay HOME. Knocking out power is a sure way of getting people to leave their homes. It would be counter-productive.
Fellow Michigander here. We had some storms rolling through yesterday and today. Power went out at my work yesterday and it flickered enough to turn my alarm clock off this morning. I'm a few hours south of your brother.
You might want to edit that photo and remove his name and the people who reacted to his post. maybe just crop that stuff out.
Just boil the coffee. Warm the water. Throw the coffee in. Bring to a rolling boil for a few minutes. Remove from burner and add cold water as this will settle the grounds to the bottom. Pour coffee.
Fuck no I'm not taking the time to make coffee if there's a chance the grounds are getting into it. I'd rather not have any than drink coffee with bits in it.
I work with someone who is from MI. He talks to his mom everyday from back home. He had said that she told him that a storm knocked down about 20 power poles and Saturday would be the earliest that power would be restored.
I believe there are 200,000 people in MI right now without power. I’m sure the high winds & thunderstorms are the cause. We’ve had several trees come down the last couple days.
Ok. That’s odd. My daughters been out since Tuesday night & reported it. Then yesterday she gets a message from consumers power saying they think it was falsely reported. She informed them that it definitely wasn’t falsely reported & she’s still without power. Then they sent her another message saying it could be some time Friday (this was yesterday) before her power is restored. She’s a couple hours south of Petosky though.
All that extra money Consumers is getting for charging us 1.5x the normal rate between 2pm and 7pm and they can't even figure out if an area is out of power.
Everything is computerized now. They have the ability to live monitor. All they have to do is pull up her account and see if she is using any power. if power meter is not showing any juice being used then TADA!!! she has no power.
Exactly. My husband used to work for an underground construction company that sub contracted for consumers. Consumer employees are definitely over paid & under worked.
I recommend deleting before you dox him and yourself
It was too late as soon as he hit save.
It can be deleted from the post section under their name
The feds are probably taking snapshots of this forum every 5 minutes.

I just looked it up on Consumers Power outage map and ZERO reported in Petoskey. Great Lakes Energy has 2 homes reported.
If you look it up on oweroutage.us, it shows that Emmet county has a few, but it does not show by the city

People are obsessed with coffee lol no power and that's his main concern
You don't think they are landing on roads with out taking down the power lines do ya?
Nothing to do with military and everything to do with recent thunderstorms
I'm in the UP at the moment, also no power. But that's because of the storm from a few days back.
was the fighter's landing on the roads sarcasm or serious?
