I originally misread this. My TDS wife with the Master’s degree didn’t hesitate to get vax’d.
I’ve had many years of college with all kinds of courses. (medicine, finance, engineering). Two completely different careers. (medicine, IT) Taught at college level for many years. (medicine). I guess I have a poor man’s Ph.D.
I've got a masters, I listen carefully to what I'm told and can reproduce it on demand, aren't I clever.
A lot of the people at PHD level did not get a high certificated education, so I like to think a lot of the high school level people are just as intelligent, they just don't go thru that long trek of official education.
The masters folks are the folks who "play the game" like well trained dogs. *(no offense to individual examples, just saying generally)
I find the Master's degrees to be the most interesting statistic. I know a lot of PhDs, I don't know that many that only have Master's.
My father was one, though he would have never gotten the vaccine, not in a million years. He was a critical thinking machine. To his credit, he did get a Masters without a bachelors, so I guess not your typical Masters degree.
Bachelors being the second lowest doesn't surprise me in the slightest. The campus here is like a walking dead wall of Zombified Covidiots, even in the most difficult science majors: the best and the brightest budding scientists CA has to offer; can't critical think their way out of a paper (body) bag.
"Professional" probably includes MD, so no real surprise there either.
It's an interesting graph. Very insightful, though I wish there was more context.
At first glance it’s in pre-print and not peer reviewed. And the. There is this gem:
“ This material is based upon work supported by Facebook (unrestricted gift) and a cooperative agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (U01IP001121). ”
Which makes it sus. My thesis is critical thinking fattens the curve!
yeah the electorate got a crash course on the Electoral college in 2000, now another crash course as you say...we are all going through some sort of crash course of our own.
IQ <> Wisdom
Some live to get it <-----
Some learn to get it ----->
These are the edges
The middle don't get it ever
Wisdom you need to earn
Admitting you will never know everything is a good start
Pretending you are seems to work backwards
I believe it! I stopped at bachelors for family reasons, but all the folks that went on to get their Masters are a bunch of followers and PhD wannabe tryhards. They will mimic whatever they think will get them praise in their academia LARPing.
Education level is irrelevant IMO. It’s about learning how to learn and never stopping. It’s about asking the question behind the question. Its about critical thinking and research. It’s about not taking your trusted source and calling it good. It’s about Trust But Verify!
As a homeschool parent of some amazing anons, I agree with you. The kind of person who self selects to get a Masters is often a person who excels at "school" and regurgitating authoritative statements, never to understand what a real education is.
Yes my friend you are correct! Critical thinking based in core values. Christian Values. A Classic Liberal Education. Not Liberal in modern dialect. Classic Liberalism. The Greek philosophers knew how to think critically. The Stoics knew how to think. Adam Smith. John Stuart Mills. Milton Friedman. Ayn Rand. The list is endless. All there for all to read.
“ Hesitancy held constant in the most educated group (those with a Ph.D.); by May Ph.D.’s were the most hesitant group. ”
“ Those from counties with higher Trump support in the 2020 presidential election showed higher hesitancy, and the difference in hesitancy between areas with high and low Trump support grew over the period studied. “This finding really highlights the politicization of public health recommendations,” said King.”

It’s more of a shitpost than data driven. It’s intention is to shift the curve to the right.
The top curve is from an actual study though isn't it? That was the one I was talking about. I also appreciate the meme graph below it. :)
Yes but I never reviewed the study. Can’t find the source. So until then it’s mostly a shitpost. Lol.

There is way too much critical thinking in that approach to displaying data you found randomly on the internet. You must be an anti-vaxxer!
Ha! Busted me.
I've got some college, never graduated, college sucks and cost to much!
BUT I consider myself beyond doctorate in seeing through the Covid-84 BS
Yep. That’s it! Critical Thinking! Now we are getting ready for a crash course in Election Laws and Forensic Audits.
