Curious about the flu
🗣️ DISCUSSION 💬
Like a hurricane is seasonal, could the common cold be similar? .. What if it's just a weak immune system that gets effected with a cold.. and it's an age old, seasonal, event, much like hurricanes? A certain criteria is required.. and it happens.
is it possible the flu doesn't actually spread?
Yes. Terrain Theory v Germ Theory.
Supposedly due to decreased vitamin D levels in winter. Your skin makes vitamin D when exposed to sun. Less sun exposure = less vitamin D.
It is mentioned in this excellent video. I highly recommend you watch it all.

There are competing theories to germ theory…worth looking into.

I like that we can think outside the box. In this case, I would say I disagree, simply based on first hand experiences, where one person gets infected and typically many members that household also get the flu. As far as the exact mechanism in which this happens, we have the virus model which seems to make sense, but I don't study viruses under high powered microscopes or anything like that. So, I'm basing my understanding off the current science, despite science losing more credibility every day.
If solarsavior is correct,
"Supposedly due to decreased vitamin D levels in winter. Your skin makes vitamin D when exposed to sun. Less sun exposure = less vitamin D."
then, there could be a genetic factor in this regarding how the body stores and utilizes Vitamin D. It would explain why a cold might run through a family -- because they are all genetically similar.
Very interesting!
Science that does not look at and report reality is the problem, because that is not science.
For example, The Weather Channel here in Florida shows the current Flu stats. They say flu is moderate to high in the Tampa and central Fl areas. It’s our “winter,” so this makes sense. More people inside due to high heat and humidity right now. It should get cooler in a few weeks and they expect the flu rates to go down because people start going outside more. It’s type A flu mainly. I’ve heard on the local news they also expect covid cases to decrease in a few weeks. But is it low Vit D levels causing this here or adding to the problem? Possible. Everyone wears sunscreen here if they’re outside. Most people, anyway or you fry. That blocks vit D absorption and immune system is compromised.
I very much like the idea that they're not catching a virus but it's more like your body is purging toxins. And just like plants spore at the same time, humans purge these toxins at the same time. I think that's why I have my 10:00 p.m. sneezes every night. It's just a clock work purge of daily toxins. I don't know, maybe it sounds crazy but from some things I've read and heard on videos that's the possible conclusion I've come to. And how it could relate to the flu every season, if you inject people with toxins, they're gonna purge them.
Ok, but if there is no spreading germ, what is your immune system defending you against?
It could be anything that is inside or outside your body. You have immune cells all over the place. I do not subscribe to germ theory, but prefer the terroir model put forth by Bechamps. He opposed Pasteur, who, on his deathbed said, "It IS the terroir", and then he died. But, because of the horrible Rockefellers, medicine has been absolutely taken over by the molecular biologists, and everything is germs, viruses, DNA etc. So supporting the body's natural ability to clear debris and protect itself goes by the wayside, and all we think of is "give me a shot or a pill" to fix me!! This is very bad. I haven't been sick for some time, because I monitor my body and notice any variation on my good health and IMMEDIATELY attend to it and take something that will strengthen my defenses.
There is evidence you only catch a cold through a combination of factors which are most likely to occur in winter to people in a certain health state. The triggering toxin is not the deciding factor because not everyone gets a cold at the same time or even the same year from the same houshold, that alone proves it is more than just exposure=getting ill
