Consider that Big Pharma has become Big Medicine. From the moment a person embarks on a career in medicine and applies to med school, they are surrounded by Big Pharma who subsidizes the school, the text books, all media literature, funds chairs and faculty, funds labs and research, everything. Doctors today only learn what Big Pharma wants them to know and nothing else. All continuing education filters through junkets supplied by Big Pharma where doctors are paid to listen to the latest and greatest Big Pharma discoveries. All clinical trials, are worked through a system where those that get published in the major medical journals are subsidized with ad dollars from Big Pharma. Nobody is interested in biting the hand that feeds them. That's why there are no studies published in the major journals that show something off patent like HCQ works for Covid.
Big Pharma has an army of representatives that visit every hospital, clinic, doctor's office, every med school, laboratory, in the country. They then supply the samples, note pads and other swag, their reps visit with breakfasts and lunches delivered to the offices. It is ongoing to where a doctor can't turn around without seeing a Big Pharma logo. They control the science and business of medicine top to bottom. Nobody wants to step out of line because so much relies on this cozy relationship.
Ever wonder why doctors seem to know so little about "natural cures"? About vitamin and nutritional supplements? They say there's no "science" behind claims for these things. What they really mean is there's no Big Pharma pushing it. Why? No money to be made in a substance that can't be patented. And when patent protection runs out, Big Pharma is always pushing the next thing. Why fight Covid with HCQ at $0.60/pill when they can push vaccines at $25/shot? It's not about curing the patient, it's about the money which funds the whole circus.
And "big Pharma" seems to be aligned with "big Food" in terms of GMO garbage and generally unhealthy food marketing. It's almost like they want people to be unhealthy so they can prescribe more medications :)
doctors are so busy, often with little family time, that they shortcut their learning and receive much of their ongoing 'education' from drug reps that show up in their office to push the latest/greatest drug. Usually that rep is an attractive young female good at selling the product.
And the reps hand out marketing brochures for drugs that include outright lies about clinical studies.
Very few doctors ever bother to research those studies for themselves. The idea that the brochure could contain lies never occurs to them, due to the brainwashing they've had from day 1.
I cut them NO slack whatsoever. The decisions they make are often life and death for people who consult them. No time to to observe? No time to spend quality time with those who consult them? No time to research the poisons they hand out like candy? Swing, baby, swing.....
Well, either way Big Pharma is going to get their money from us, it seems.
Ivermectin is manufactured by Merck. HCQ is made by a few of the big drug makers, under different brand names. Pfizer makes most of it in the US, I think.
People seem to forget that this stuff is drugs, for some reason. It's not like Ma and Pa Kettle who are running the feed store you're buying it in is whipping up batches of home made Ivermectin in the back.
I personally don't want a penny of my money going to Big Pharma, so I follow God's plan of living a healthy life to stay healthy. Real, natural food. No smoking, no drugs. Keep active. Go to church, etc...
Absolutely true; I always choose supplements, herbs, colloidal silver, MMS, NO sugar, good food. I also recognize that there is a time and a place for many drugs on a temporary basis. I have a little ivermectin set aside but more than likely it will remain on the shelf. We're coming up on some precarious times.
Not to be picky but the term is "off label" not "off patent".
You probably had it correct in your head but didn't make it onto to the page.
Seems to happen to me more and more every day.
Actually no. A drug that's patented has a specific length of time where it can only be marketed by the patent holder. I think it's 17 years. After that generics can be made by others which reduces the profits dramatically. So, the originator of the drug has a window of time to recoup their investment into research and testing after which its contents can be copied, manufactured and distributed under it's generic name. Off label refers to drugs made for one purpose but can be used for another. Ivermectin was originally made to combat parasitic illnesses but it was also found to have anti-viral properties that could successfully treat Covid off label.

Guess who one of the biggest founders of the AMerican diabetic association is? The corn lobby. 🤨

Good post. A patient cured, is a patient lost.

I think I must of misunderstood you in the first place. My bad.
