Less cities, more urban and rural living.
A little bit of work and space is all you need to produce a good bit of your own food.
Growing up the whole family grew stuff and canned, so the majority of our food was grown and canned by my mom, dad, grandma, and aunts.
Here too. But this year... my garden struggled ... hasn't produced as much as other years.... no peas, I'll be lucky if I get enough beets and carrots for a meal, forget about having enough to can.
My tomato plants are producing some but look like crap. It was dry, so I'd water because no rain was forecasted ... then torrential rain would happen. I didn't do anything right this year. All other years gardening was almost effortless... this year I completely suck at it.
A lot of people have had limited production this year in their home gardens. The ones that did well were the ones that had flowers around their plants to pied piper the pollinators. I did not, but my neighbor did. His tomatoes and cucumbers were heavy producers.
I'll try that next year... :). I'm feel it's a pretty huge failure to not be successful at peas, and zucchini 😂

Be sure to bring the bees.
