HOMESCHOOL / CO-OP RESOURCES FOR PARENTS
Hat Tip to u/ LucilleBrawl for this project/effort.
NOTE 1: This is a work in progress. Please post any good resources you have here.
NOTE 2: Before hooking up with any individual or organization on homeschooling, be sure to vet them for Anti-MAGA Lefist rhetoric and goals -- that includes all resources on this list. (Let us know if any of them fail to meet our standards.)
NOTE 3: Beware of overly-commercialized homeschool resource purveyors. Some folks are into this just for the money.
NOTE 4: Don't try to do this alone. Find other like-minded parents and join together. Know your state / local law, join a homeschool association and local / SM groups that support your values.

Has every curriculum under the sun and then some more! It was a great place to buy homeschool books. Good luck I homeschooled both my kids and they are happy and successful today without going to college by the way! One is a self-taught gaming coding engineer and the other runs her own full time home based bakery business at the age of 19. Don't give up and persevere with the help of God!

Ron Paul Curriculum
https://www.ronpaulcurriculum.com
"Absolutely the best CONTENT I have seen anywhere for subjects of Literature and History. My 4th grader loves it and is learning things I didn't know about until college and beyond. PhD level professors teaching in prerecorded course (180 lessons per subject per semester). Also have courses in science, math, etc and adult courses. By 4th grade students can work almost entirely independently with the curriculum (but you'll want to learn it too!) which is a big help especially for families with multiple kids."

ABEKA (Christian Homeschooling Program)
https://www.abeka.com/homeschool
About:
In 1954, Dr. Arlin Horton and his wife, Beka, started a Christian school in Pensacola, Florida. But they soon discovered a problem. Textbooks and curriculum based on biblical educational philosophy were starting to disappear. Burdened to give their students the best education possible, they stood in the gap and began producing their own materials.
"my daughter taught piano to 3 boys who were using the christian homeschool ABEKA program and there all in college now! Both my daughters were raised on this program in private christian school."

Seton Home Study School (Catholic)
Seton Home Study School is a nationally accredited, faithfully Catholic private PreK-12 distance school located in the state of Virginia. We serve an enrollment of approximately 20,000 homeschooled students, and several thousand more families through book sales and by furnishing materials to small Catholic schools.
"Seton Catholic homeschooling is excellent. The program handles all the paperwork for the state or country of residence. They send a box of real books, computer use is minimal. We set up a fast pace with provided math course, so we can add Singapore US edition afterwards."

This is what we used last year and loved it. It is a non faith based, literature based program that is a lot of fun. https://www.movingbeyondthepage.com/?gclid=CjwKCAjwos-HBhB3EiwAe4xM9yKOk1mVxbUPu6zr34gw4WJyo5NzY_eOOobZLJ27AeVCTA0IcjVaZxoCaiwQAvD_BwE
In addition we used Right Start Math which is a great program but requires a little re learning to understand their program. I think it would be best if starting from kinder. https://rightstartmath.com/
I've also heard great things about Math U See https://www.mathusee.com/
And we added on Lexia for families for additional Language Arts. I used this mostly for my kindergartner who was learning to read but my 4th grader loved it too. https://www.lexiaforhome.com/

Nice work with these!
I was homeschooled from 1980-1986. No diploma, just self taught 8-12 math, science, reading, vocabulary, enough history to pass a GED test. Started community college in '86 moved to University 87-88. Knocked up Junior year. Baby '89 back to finish with RN diploma by 91.
Fast forward 2000 and 2002. After raising one through the system, a nightmare as she was independent and disagreed with most teachers, when the other 2 were gifted to me, I homeschooled them the entire 12 years. Taught alphabet, phonics, reading, math until 8-10yrs. Then threw in some science. Used videos for His Story (Oliver Stone's The Alternate History of the US) Geography, etc. but very clearly realized it was all LIES and so the less they were indoctrinated to "believe", the less they would have to "unlearn" when the time came. Science, yes the standard biology, chemistry, physics, but look into stuff like Nassim Haramein and The Resonance Project, quantum science, computer coding/programming. The Biology of Belief etc. This is real and once consensus of thought agrees, all other "science" will change, again forcing indoctrinated persons to have to unlearn.
For beginning reading/math recommend letter tiles, magnetic are best, to teach phonics and tangible tools likes blocks and multiplication manipulatives to teach addition/sub/multiplication/div. Sadlier math textbooks I had great success with. (They have non-common core option) Reading comprehension stick with cards or classic novels as they get older. A lot of newer programs incorporate stories with the propaganda incorporated. Science recommend teach basics, biology general like cells, genetics, etc; chemistry basics table of elements, equations etc; physics basics. Recommend mostly hands on fun experiments and getting out in nature ie: gardening, hiking, photography (kids loved this), growing butterflies, tadpoles etc, backyard chickens are great, birdwatching, fishing, hunting, CAMPING a must.
Immediate goal should be to "get the piece of paper" ie: diploma/GED. Both boys have jobs; pay for cars, insurance etc. Still room at home, but help with food, exp.
For my lack of a bachelors degree, I started my own legal nurse consulting business in 2006, because I could no longer participate in encouraging compliance with pharmaceuticals killing my patients. Have not made less than 6 figures since. My 3 homeschooled brothers are all multimillion entrepreneurs with multiple journeyman trade certs (Mechanics, Electricians, welders, divers, etc)
What I am trying to convey is, don't TRY SO HARD. Just enjoy your children. If you are doing more than 2hrs of structured school 10 and under, in my experience that is too much. If you are doing more than 4hrs of structured school after 10-18 you are doing too much. Teach life skills ie: how to start a fire with a flint; how to use a chainsaw; knitting, weaving, cooking, baking (great for math), campfires (cooking on campfires lol) how to use a hand saw, grinder, soldering, carpentry (build a birdhouse), sewing and repairing clothing/blankets, first aid, CPR, OMG so many things. Buy a RV/tent and LIVE. (Children LOVE campfires and marshmallow roasting; the roasting part) LAUGH, have FUN!
So encouraging to read this. Thank you for sharing your curriculum.
As of today Pennsylvania Gov Wolf has MANDATED masks for ALL school public and private. Just an FYI to the PA frens.
lol wut
Awesome information ! Thanks
WOW.... HalleluYah and Praise the Lord!
I'd probably go with Seton, if I had any kids.
I'm Catholic anyways and Dr. Ray Guarendi promotes it on Catholic radio.
Guarendi was one of the first to break the line and call out the damage masks are doing to our kid's psyche (he is a family/child psychologist).
Also, it'd be very unlikely woke stuff would get in to the curriculum. Catholic parents would have a fit.
I highly recommend taking a look at BookShark as an all-in-one curriculum or a la carte. If you’re just getting started and don’t know where to begin their All in One has everything you need, put together in an easy to use format. Is it pricey? Yes. Is it really easy? yes. Once we did our first year we used the components we liked a la carte to create our own curriculum that was more specific to our kids needs. The curriculum wasn’t lacking at all, we just had the opportunity to realize her strengths and weaknesses to customize her curriculum. We still use about 75-80% bookshark with some other things sprinkled in for variety. One thing we liked too was that you can order “consumables” from their website so if you have another younger child you can reuse the curriculum and just pay for the worksheets and disposable supplies. They also have a customization option so if you already own certain books used from previous years you are credited the cost and don't receive another copy.
Another tip: your curriculum MAY be tax deductible. I receive a 600$ tax credit for all my curriculum and materials annually. Ask your tax preparer or do some research.
amazing guys...thank you thank you!
free online excellent curriculum: https://www.amblesideonline.org
Art Robinson had a good curriculum as well. If you look up the Robinson curriculum book list, it has a lot of good books on it (it's the list I read from as a young homeschool kid). Many of the books can be downloaded for free from https://www.gutenberg.org/.
Beautiful Feet Books is a good resource for reading, history, language arts and character all rolled into one. I like it because it encourages learning through stories and reading (I think young kids learn this way) - https://www.bfbooks.com/
https://www.christianbook.com is a good source for all kinds of curriculum.
I have been using The Good and the Beautiful this past year and it has been working pretty well. Definitely give it a try. They have language arts and math levels 1-5 available FOR FREE on their website. Also, marine biology science unit is free.
Great info. Love Abeka and Saxon & would be interested in checking out the good and beautiful curriculum as I’ve seen other use it successfully. I also saw the Epoch times ran a story about it last week...the Ron Paul curriculum looks new & interesting does anyone on here have any experience with it?
Bravo!
Awesome!
Our youngest is in CC (Classical Conversations) in sw mo.
Just started kindergarten. So far so good!
I really recommend Easy Grammar. Fun and easy way to learn it. We all know our prepositions and prepositional phrases now!
That was a recommendation to me from a long-time homeschooler and it was some of the best advice I got. My two adult children are engineers who can write and speak well.
If you can move past the obvious "white" stigma, this list actually has some very nice suggestions that should be incorporated into your list: http://www.colchestercollection.com/must-read.html
Notice this in particular: http://www.colchestercollection.com/titles/H/homeschooling-odyssey.html
If you are ever going to get to truth then you are going to have to get accustomed to finding it wherever it comes from. That is one of the enormous problems with some people who think they belong to the GA/WWG1WGA movement. You have to get through some of your mental and emotional blocks.
There is NOTHING wrong with being positive about your ethnicity and culture. This concept has been bastardized into what you're experiencing presently. It's so very sad and ultimately a damning trait.
Take me for example, I am not "white", but I still find value with such material and do not interpret as you clearly do.
You probably need to go back to Sunday school and re-study the scriptures. If you go back to your Christian (I too am Christian) basics, you may say "Wow, God is racist!" IF you do not have proper context and understanding.
This is very important and your reply saddens me since you clearly have some ENORMOUS emotional burden attached. I'm sorry you feel this way and I pray for you to be able to reach outside of yourself and that the Holy Spirit can help you to find truth as He is the Great Witness of all truth.
And for the record, you should be very curious about this one as it could help unify the entire world and heal the wounds that should not exist between Germany and the Jewish people: http://www.colchestercollection.com/titles/M/made-in-russia.html
Parents across the United States of America thank you!!!
We opted for my kid to do the remote learning last year. They used Calvert and wow, it was a huge mess. They also use Common Core, so if anyone was wondering if it's any good, it's not. My kid sincerely got confused many times so I had to explain it the traditional way and they understood better than Calvert.
SO that's a BIG NO on Calvert. Not sure if they have the option of doing it the traditional way so if they do, well that's good but like I said it was a huge mess because it was confusing on where to click and where to go etc. My wife had to help my kid many times and even she got lost herself. When I was available to help, I had to show my wife how to do it and I had to show her over 100 times. I know it's frustrating but if they have poor interface design then it's not worth the headache to go through.
I recently made the decision to homeschool our 16 year old. After so much back and forth, I went with Monarch. I hate the name, but it’s part of the AOP and Switched On Schoolhouse recommended above. It’s all online, I can adjust her schedule, keep track of her grades and what needs grading, and see if she’s on task. So far so good! She likes it, she can get it done in 2 to 4 hours a day. And she’s taking on more coursework than she would’ve in traditional school.
My child has special needs that make some of the online courses too rigid so I think we’re going to be using Easy Peasy All in One Homeschool along with supplementation from others (I have to finalize this weekend). Does anyone here know this curriculum and have any input to give either positive or negative? The whole thing is completely free online and found here: https://allinonehomeschool.com/
My 12 YO has never been inside a school. This year we felt he needed structure. https://www.bigriveracademy.com/ (Not an Endorsement)
He's taking 5 classes and loves it. Teacher taught on line every week. Assignments due and uploaded. Christian based learning. No BS. Not common core.
