I must say this story brought uncontrollable tears to my eyes. No matter what Branch we may have served in, no matter weather you served or not, no matter if you are religious or not, no matter who you are, we are ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS. We are in the fight of our lives our children's lives our children's children lives, the lives of our friends and their family's. Ditto. Took me 3 attempts to finish this. So many emotions came flooding back all at once. Our struggles seem paltry compared to the Gold Star families and the Men & Women currently in uniform. I love my Country, Humanity, and the Men & Women I se bed with and those that continue to serve. That's TRUE sacrifice, the likes of which only roughly 3% of the population can actually, truly understand. And I am ETERNALLY GRATEFUL for each and every one of them.
