Looks like they changed the white balance if you look at the color on the bark and leaves too. Simple change of a slider to make that look like it does. And what a sick move on CNN's part to alter it to fear monger in a way that says "take that shit and you'll look sick like Joe".

I noticed this too almost immediately. It made no sense to me how his skin color was completely different than his normal reddish skin color. I initially didn't even recognize him in all of the thumbnails of it being posted. I have never seen this sort of image coloring in any outdoor video of someone's face.
