Get woke, go broke.
Most of these restaurants aren't getting woke. In most cases, they're only requiring vaccination cards because the government mandated it and will fine them thousands of dollars if they don't.
Can they park their own food truck round the front?
Maybe they should get food trucks too? Or do take out and delivery? The problem is we need to find work arounds everything they're trying to do. Build a parallel economy that takes power away from them.
Brilliant! I love food buses!
I f I had a food truck....I would make regular routes and travel thru neighborhoods weekly selling Food (like the ice cream truck does). What a welcome to see the food truck coming. No waiting for delivery order/ no cooking/ no cleanup/ hot and ready ...coming to your community soon.❤
I would love that!
A lot of food trucks have apps to show where they will be at any given day.
Maybe in "some" cities they drive thru your neighborhood but most I know of park in the same spots and you have to drive to THEM. I am talking about one that moves thru street to street and provides a variety of meals and alternates menu fares weekly.
Food trucks where I live travel from place to place and, as the previous poster stated, you can find out where they will be. We have different ones coming to our development every Friday. Food Truck Friday is a thing in the life developments here
❤ we ALL need more of these!! (Lucky you)
Great idea! And speaking of food trucks, for the kids in your family:

The Tuttle Twins is a great series for kids, I highly recommend.
Thanks for the links, I do remember the crackdown on food trucks, trying to stifle them with more and more regulations (more $$ for the coffers they use as their personal slush funds). Happened while they were really getting much more popular.
My daughter's were just talking about doing this. My forever reason NOT to open a restaurant myself has been the amount of toxic people nowadays that claim poisoning etc. It would take the steam away from me and I always wanted to do it. I dunno...
Yes, you have to love what you do. A food truck might be more fun tho?
Good question. I know they have to display Food Inspector "report card" and licenses to operate etc.
Yes, the food truck has to follow all of the same rules as a brick and mortar restaurant, including licensing, tax registration (and collection, and payment), food safety, business safety, as well as zoning/parking, solicitation, and the impacts of their presence on their host landlord (if any) and their regulatory, tax and zoning requirements.
I ran a few kitchens, and everything else in the food biz, but never wanted to own one! The biz side is too frustrating, I have considered a food truck, as far back as the early 2000s.
Yeah, I think it'd be the only thing I'd try?
I had a really novel idea for one, but life happens. You should go for it!
At the minimum I'll support my daughters doing it. I'm pretty rural now so...
There used to be a fair amount of red tape on where food trucks could do business, which varied by city.
Wouldn't a food truck just need the necessary food permits/inspections and the permission of a neighboring property owner to park? Maybe a reasonable, agreed upon rental fee? I"m sure most businesses wouldn't want to hurt their neighbor's business, but if they are participating in state-enforced segregation (that has no 0 actual public health value), maybe will not give a fuck anymore.
I do remember there being a regulatory crackdown on food trucks a years back, when they were really getting trend, but am not sure what happened. I tend to see groups of food trucks gathered in specific spots at lunchtime and late night. It would be great to see them spread and and taking businesses from collaborative sheep.
Great idea, and you could make it food specific, anyone looking for a particular food can get it from the truck, possibly even better and much less expensive.
Rice truck! Who’s opening a bean truck on one side of me and a bottled water truck on the other 🤣
Ha! I was thinking more like an Italian truck outside the Dominoes, sandwiches outside the Subway, etc. But you could keep amazingly low overhead your way!
🤣🤣🤣🤣 bags of rice for when the world ends!
Yup, time for people to take a stand.
Lots of people are losing their jobs for not wanting the jab, or the boosters. Time for sitting on the sidelines is over.
Awesome idea —win/win for food trucks too!
There are many restrictions for food trucks not being allowed to park near brick and mortar restaurants due to the legislature and costs associated between both. Food trucks have approved areas to park and will lose their license if they stray from the rules
Sorry, the government mandating the vaccine to serve your customers is no excuse. Everyone must take a stand at some time. Today it is proof of vaccines, tomorrow the government may mandate how many people you must employ or impossible health standards, or what you may serve. It will never stop until business and patrons stop it..
