I came to this table this morning after a fitful night of dreams. So, turning it all over to God during my morning Bible Read was a welcome relief.

PSALM 65 For the director of music. A psalm of David. A song.

** Theme:** God provides abundantly. We can be thankful to God for his many blessings.

Author: David

1 Praise awaits you, our God, in Zion; to you our vows will be fulfilled. 2 You who answer prayer, to you all people will come. 3 When we were overwhelmed by sins, you forgave our transgressions. 4 Blessed are those you choose and bring near to live in your courts! We are filled with the good things of your house, of your holy temple. 5 You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, 6 who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength, 7 who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. 8 The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy. 9 You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. 10 You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. 11 You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. 12 The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. 13 The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing.

Study Notes:

65:1, 2 In the Old Testament times, vows were taken seriously and fulfilled completely. No one had to make a vow, but once made, it was binding. [I highlighted "binding".]. (Deuteronomy 23:21-23). The vow that is being fulfilled here is the promise to praise God for his answers to prayer.

65:3 Although we may feel overwhelmed by the multitude of our sins, God will forgive them all if we ask sincerely. Do you feel as though God could never forgive you, that your sins are too many, or that some of them are too great? The good news is that God can and will forgive them all. [I highlighted the next sentence.]. Nobody is beyond redemption, and nobody is so full of sin that he or she cannot be made clean.

65:4 Access to God, the joy of living in the temple courts, was a great honor. God had chosen a special group of Israelites, the tribe of Levi, to serve as priests in the tabernacle (Numbers 3:5-51). They were the only ones who could enter the sacred rooms where God's presence resided. [I highlighted the next sentence.]. Because of Jesus' death on the cross, all believers have personal access to God's presence everywhere and at any time.

65:6-13 This harvest psalm glorifies God the Creator as reflected in the beauty of nature. Nature helps us understand something of God's character. The Jews believed that God's care of nature was a sign of love and provision for them. Nature shows God's generosity--giving us more than we need or deserve. Understanding God's abundant generosity should make us grateful to God and generous to others.

Last evening I started researching more about NESARA. I stumbled upon a website that had information on it about what it is and when it was supposed to be implemented. I read it was an act of Congress which the implementation was interrupted by the events of 9/11 and its aftermath. After reading about this, I decided to try to vet the truthfulness by going to the Congressional Record for the 106th Congress. I started reading and tired before finding definitive answers. Then I didn't have a good night of sleep.

So, this morning, I talked to God about it. And I read this Psalm about God's abundant blessings. He reminded me that he does hear our prayers, and he does provide. I told him that I search and still I don't know the answers to my questions, and each time I said "I dunno" I followed it with "but you do"--because I know that God is allknowing. It was good, because it refocused me to where I should be focused. I love the way God works! He does provide abundantly. He does answer prayers "expansively". I can attest and praise GOD for it all.

Lord of All, thank you for the ability to talk to you about anything. Thank you for clear guidance and for all the blessings that you give to us. Thank you, especially, for your saving grace. Keep us on our tasks for your glory, as your creation, the way you intended us to be. In Truth. In Christ Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
