Son went by small independent pharmacy in small town; knows owners well. Inquired about Ivermectin and shockingly the pharmacist knew nothing of it! She's had 6 people come in in 2 days asking about it and curious by now ,she discovered she can't even order it. One of the 6 was a Dr. who didn't believe they didn't have it on hand; claims she was looking for it for parasites - lol. I'm thinking maybe India might be the last resort.

I have not ordered from India and have never heard of these places but here it is: I just ordered 200mg HCQ (200x for $50) and 12mg Ivermectin (200x for 30) from Silverline Medicare out of India. Found them on IndiaMart. You can sort by verified sellers and search for a wide variety of meds. Azithromycin, zpacks, doxycycline, etc

There's nothing wrong with getting vet medicine and taking it as a human, just be absolutely sure you're positive of what all is in the medicine. Not all are equal in terms of contents.
The standard Ivermectin tube for horses (by Durvet) that you see a lot is just fine. Dosage is by weight, the tube markings plus some basic math can get you the dosage you want. Anyone who says, "follow the dosages marked for horse weights" is just an idiot - don't listen to them.
It's very basic math and ivermectin dosage information is all over the place, but if for any reason you still want some help feel free to ask me. I don't mind helping a pede out.

I ordered 12mg 30ct vermectol today from reliablerxpharmacy.com. $57.50 + shipping. Stromecol is the generic name. Just to have in my arsenal. I have ordered from them in the past and it usually takes a couple of weeks to receive.
Your dosage information is close for most people's weight, but not as informative as it could be. It's also just not accurate for those who wish to take it as a prophylactic or for exposure.
The math to figure out dosage is incredibly basic, and I think you should've included that information instead of this rough dosage info of, "multiply your weight by 1.5 and follow weight notches."

Stromectol come in 3mg tablets. Dosing on these is by body weight, just like horse paste.

Your dogs heart worm medicine has ivermectin
This site has the correct dosing information: https://covid19criticalcare.com/covid-19-protocols/i-mask-plus-protocol/ It ranges from 0.2mg/kg of body weight for chronic prevention to 0.4mg/kg of body weight for post-exposure prevention, to 0.4 to 0.6 mg/kg for early treatment. Page 2 of the handout has a dosage chart by body weight for the 0.2mg/kg dose. For Durvet 1.87% ivermectin, a 6.08g tube contains 6.08g*1.87/100 = 113mg of ivermectin. There are 25 notches on the applicator so each notch =113mg/25 = 4.5mg/notch. For the 0.2mg/kg dose, this works out to about one notch per 50 lbs of body weight, which is the dosage marked for horses on the applicator. Multiply by 2 or 3 to get to the post-exposure or early treatment doses.
